Well we have tried various restrictions on guns ... have we tried any restrictions on violence in movies or computer games?

Certainly background checks make sense ... maybe a higher tax on ammo so background checks can be done all the time and those felons can't get guns at gun shows.

Having lived next door to a couple of pits bulls, I'm not so sure I'd prefer one of them to a shotgun, since you can't unload a pit bull ... ;-)

But it makes sense that gun owners be held accountable for what people they loan their guns to do with them ... curious though ... are the owners of stolen cars accountable for what the thieves do with them?

Actually it matters a lot ... Islam does not accept the concept of separation of church and state ... something that means a lot to me .... Moreover someone who is an adherent of Islam would also be considered a heretic if they attacked another Muslim. Christians don't have that baggage

I'm beginning to see Internet traffic on his conversion to Islam while he was posted in Saudi Arabia. Curious if any readers have information one way or the other.
