They are stating the rule is too much trouble when one wants to change voting rules. They need to answer why they keep changing the voting rules. If they answer that then the law will be kept in place.

Icebergs ain't the issue. Still waiting for one of these over size, poorly ran, cruise ships to take a hit from a rogue wave.

jamesn Wrote: Mcclellan is right there is enough stockpiled ammo to last for decades, and banning it will just drive the price up, not to mention that it would be smuggled into the country if the price increased enough to make it profitable and it definitely would. I guess we could seal our borders against smuggling ammunition, but it would be about as effective as the seal of our borders against smuggling drugs. And we all know how well THAT works.

People have been stockpiling ammo for decades and since President Obama's election it has only increased, his reelection and the recent gun ban talk has made it even worse.

The legislation will not pass and even if it did it would not be effective.
And boy oh boy has fire fighting become interesting. We recently had a house go up and when the guys approached the stored ammo started going off and the result was a controlled burn(from a safe distance).

Nipper is fundamentalist christian. Proof is that the poster said schoolteach a type of religion, secular humanism. Secular Humanism is the rallying call of the true Christians(Fundies to you and me). I suggest that we not reply in any way to any of the trolls. Maybe they will just wander back the their bridge if nobody notices them. And why not? In real life we shun the simpleminded fools.

Pot has been here for decades. So your argument would be true if evidense supported it, but alas.

As a friend told me "If i drink I end up in a ditch. If I smoke I forget where I was going but bring home frito's".

No hope. None at all. Thw Wedge Document is pure fantasy derived from the fact that church attendance is falling. The document states that if religion can be wedged into schools then fundamentalism can be put into all aspects of society.
I believe if you can't beat them then recruit them. Fundamentalists know they can't recruit worth a hoot so have no choice but wage a pointless war. But two big losses in the courts have proven there is no hope at all for religion to ever be in schools.

Nipper, you said that allowing gays to get married would cheapen marriages. Admit that it would only cheapen yours and I will accept the argument you have put forth. The reason is that the view that gay marriage somehow harms all mariages makes no sense at all.

Religion is very private but also a very socializing/bonding force. The hate I honestly feel is entirely coming from you towards the likes of me. Why? Because I simply and honestly tell you the truth as I have come to realize it. I do not hate you or your feelings. I fully understand that you seem to be either one seeking the truth by prodding or fully lost and not able to see the light --- much like Pharoah reacted to Moses. I do not have prayer beads, but I will pray for you. Such is the best I can do under these circumstances.
Umm, we Democrats aren't advocating burning down your church. It is you advocating harming another. Doing so in the name of god is just as wrong as doing it the name of satan.
How am I harming another? Do you imagine "Christians" hang out in bars and go "gay" bashing. Sorry, but even in the old Westerns, the church was most always viewed as bringing a sense of community and education to an otherwise bang, bang shoot'em up wild and woolly sort of life. I do not imagine "Christian thugs" roaming the streets of either Camden or Trenton, NJ. More likely they are liberals seeking drugs...
Because you want to deny others rights you have because you believe your god wants you to.
