SOCIAL POLICYStrongly Liberal
Having lived in Tripoli, Libya until I was 7 gave me a different perspective on life. My dad was Air Force, so I've lived in a few states, mostly confusion. My older sister and I are veterans of the 2nd Korean Conflict. I followed my Army nurse there in 1968, just in time to be present for the release of the crew of the Pueblo. After the Army I spent 30 years as a Surgical Technician. I retired in 2007 due to diabetes2.
I've been a Democrat since Nixon vs McGovern. My beliefs in a government that represents the people, poor or wealthy. I grew up with FDRs' regulations of business. When a gallon of milk didn't cost more than a gallon gasoline. One of my Army buddies(Insurance salesman) calls me a Pinko Commie Liberal.
But I've seen what his companies can do to families with long term illness or terminal, they loose everything, including coverage.
