Sure; total B.S. you never can set the clock back; confessions etc. especially the church one's are totally fake; no it is the easy way out and does not change anything; a killer will say in court "I'm sorry" that will help a lot for sure. The churches aid and abet wrong doing by the fake confession ritual. Mankind will always continue to do wrong things and no one forgives; just words only. It is never "god's will; it is purely related to human life on this self contained little globe..
I made no mention of the church's confession, I spoke only of each human's confession, which I believe we are all obligated to do in thanksgiving for His forgiveness for our sins. Just look at your words "fake confession ritual". You would have to prove to me that the sacrament of Penance is fake, but since you cannot, I have full faith in my own belief that it is realistic. You are right, I have no proof that is is NOT fake, but I choose to believe in its validity. Just wait until the Final Judgement, then everyone will have whatever proof there is.

About a week ago, I posted a thread regarding a new book I had just read. I advised everyone that it was written by a Jewish Rabbi, and the novel was an account of his own claiming that biblical events occurring around the year 700BC were precursors to the events that have happened at specific multi-year intervals since that time, up to and including the 9/11 attacks on U.S. soil. Not only were these events precursors, each one, including 9/11 was almost an exact clone event-wise and location-wise, as just another in a series of events that most likely are not yet finished. My thread included the author's name and a specific web site associated with this man and his writings. In less than a day the post was deleted by those in power. When I went to see the conglomeration of "My Posts", the date of that post was there, but not the post itself. Instead, there was only a short note saying this post had been deleted by the Hub's policemen. All I am saying is that I was given no reason for the post being removed, even after I emailed them and asked them why. The logical conclusion to this is that the powers in charge here are atheists. They certainly allow postings that deny the existence of any Supreme Being, but not one that suggests a Supreme Being just might be in charge of this planet. I guess they need proof of His Almighty power, mercy, goodness, and love, but when it comes to needing proof that He doesn't exist, they simply claim ignorance.

    Dutch, you wrote:

"Good piece: however times have changed quite a bit; even if our intelligence has the most up to date info; things can change overnight.
In my opinion the cause is the "power" shifts from whole countries to "small entities/groups" or some "fanatics" with money. The same has taken place in the US; for instance a Vegas billionair spent 55 million on Romney including McCain. So these type of arrangements can become dangerous.
The same happens in Russia and the middle east; power shifts are happening fast."

Great posting, although both you and I know full well that 55 million to a billionaire is like pocket change. I wonder what it feels like to be that rich. Someone better tell me because I'll never see anything like that, let alone have that much.

I am reading, but have not finished, a most interesting book, written by a Jewish Rabbi who leads "Hope of the World" ministries, an international outreach of teaching, evangelism, and compassion projects for the needy. He also leads the Jerusalem Center/Beth Israel, a worship center made up of Jews, Gentiles, and people of all backgrounds, located in Wayne, New Jersey. The book is titled "The Harbinger" and it is just that. An amazing coincidence between events recorded around 700 B.C. in Israel with the events happening here in the U.S. beginning in the 21st century. A must read for biblical enthusiasts, or for anyone who might think that 9/11 was just a coincidence, a one-time event. There is an associated web-site: www.HopeoftheWorld.org

Stone was never made in a shed, it is a geologic phenomenon that happens over eons. It seems to me that they were probably chipped or axed from the side of a hill or mountain, but they were available. Just hop on a plane and fly to Jerusalem (Zion), and you will see for yourself. My guess (I have never been there) is that the "language" was whatever was understandable by those waiting at the base of the mountain at that time. And my "no one can touch it" comes from logical thinking. Anything that old has to be protected from the environment in order to prevent its decay and loss.

I fully agree Dutch, so let's talk about the REAL money-absorbing projects. Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid are three, but they DO improve a civilian's life. What do you have in mind that are anywhere near these i size and scope, that do NOT improve a civilian's life?

I have no scientific reports--albeit the Bible--and it does not specify what TYPE of stone Moses carried up the mountain. It does specify that God said "I WII WRITE ON THEM", so one can believe that since He didn't ask Moses to bring anything but the stone tablets, He already had the ability to do the writing. I think that is referred to as Hs Omnipotence (all-powerful). I mean since He could create Heaven and the Universe, why couldn't He also create His own laser or other writing tool? All, I am saying is that we are not discussing science in my opinion, we are discussing religious beliefs and faith in those beliefs. As your last line says, NO PROOF, that in itself rules out science. But I do have faith.

Exactly Dutch, I thought the sequester was aimed at REDUCTIONS, but obviously the military somehow has a leg up on the other departments. Obama and Congress need to stand up against this, it was through their INactivity that the sequester came about, so they better pull up their big-boy (and girl) pants, and get to work seriously.

Harry Reid has prevented the Senate form voting on numerous budget bills, NOT because most of these bills were bad in themselves, but because most, if not all, of these bills had Republican-attached riders that were totally against President Obama's objectives. These riders are all due to Mr. Boehner's sad group in the House.
