There is a road that women have walked since the beginning of this Country. A road that must now with this opportunity be taken. Women have encountered name-calling, held hunger strikes, been jailed, demonstrated and even died for wanting an equal say in their government. It has been over 200+ years and the fight has been long and grueling. Those against the movement have used ever despicable mode to disrupt us, They want to control what we say and do, and yes even our vote. We must not let that happen. I believe that for everyone, male or female, who feels threatened by a woman in high office, there are thousands who will vote for Hillary because of what she stands for. She stands up for women everywhere. As a woman she understands and supports that we no longer want men to control our health, our means to help support our families, our place in society, our rights in pro-creation and yes our strengths in our accomplishments. Hillary's accomplishments are far and wide, They are:
She went to work for the Children’s Defense Fund, going door to door in New Bedford, Massachusetts, gathering stories about the lack of schooling for children with disabilities, this led to legislation requiring the education of Children with Disabilities.
She was one of the Lawyers representing the Congressional Committee investigating of Nixon.
She taught law and represented the poor and co-founded an organization, Arkansas Advocates of Children and Families that represented children and the poor in Arkansas.
She has as first lady of Arkansas, and this Nation fostered health care, and educational standards that promote equality for all.
She worked across aisles(Republicans and Democrats alike)to help create a Children's Health Insurance Program
She led a delegation (with voices against her ) to Beijing and addressed the UN Fourth World Conference on Women on women's rights.
She was the FIRST woman Senator from New York. After 911 she helped secure 20 billion to help rebuild. She worked to have rural and poor areas receive tech equipment and broadband for their benefit. She fostered Farm to Fork for the farmers to sell their produce to business.
As Secretary of State she represented this Country, she began the arduous task of mending fences that the Bush administration had destroyed.
Her resume as a strong advocate for women, children, and the poor and disadvantaged can not be beat
I will say and I know it will bring out cry, this has to be an election based on Women and women's rights because it is not just about women it is about who she is. It will bring causes of the poor, children, the incarcerated, immigrants and civil rights to the forefront. Up to now, no one with her depth in these causes and her advocacy has sat in that seat. This is why a vote for Hillary has depth and meaning.
If not NOW....WHEN???
