John Heilemann on Charlie Rose mentioned Congressman Paul Ryan as having a compelling GOP message in development so that I watched his CPAC presentation from last spring where I failed to see anything to save the Republican party from disappointment this fall and obliteration in 2016; specifically because their focus on austerity will be contrasted by good economic news.

A U.S. District Judge in Nevada has ordered representatives from the Trump campaign and the RNC to appear in court and be prepared to turn over "any training materials they provided to poll watchers, poll observers, exit pollsters or any other similarly tasked individuals" after the DNC filed lawsuit claiming that Trump and the RNC are engaging in illegal voter intimidation tactics.
State Republican officials have fired the vendor it had hired to register voters, and took the additional step of filing an election fraud complaint against the company, Strategic Allied Consulting, with state officials. That complaint was handed over Friday to state law-enforcement authorities. A call to temporarily halt registration has been issued while an investigation is under way. It is a 3rd-degree felony to knowingly submit false voter registration information.
The Republican National Committee (RNC) spent $150,000 of campaign contributions on clothing, hair styling, and makeup for Sarah Palin and her family in September 2008. Multiple shopping sprees at Saks Fifth Avenue, Neiman Marcus and other high end stores were reported. Campaign spokespersons stated the clothing would be going to charity after the election. Palin and some media outlets blamed gender bias for the controversy. At the end of the campaign, Palin returned the clothes to the RNC.
