Reince Priebus, Donald Trump's Chief of Staff, had a private conversation with FBI officials where he asked them to publicly refute media reports which accused Donald Trump's campaign of coordinating with the Russian government during the 2016 Presidential campaign. Priebus requesting the assistance of the FBI violated decades old rules that are meant to prevent the White House from having conversations with the FBI about ongoing investigations.
The official Republican National Committee's Christmas statement appeared to compare the birth of Jesus with the election of Donald Trump. The statement read "Merry Christmas to all! Over two millennia ago, a new hope was born into the world, a Savior who would offer the promise of salvation to all mankind. Just as the three wise men did on that night, this Christmas heralds a time to celebrate the good news of a new King." The RNC denied the connection, but it's difficult to read the statement without coming to the conclusion that they were comparing the birth of Jesus to the "good news of a new king."
The Republican National Committee is sending deceptive mailings to voters that have "NOTICE OF DELINQUENCY" emblazoned on the front of the envelope. The mailings then contain a letter from committee chairman Reince Priebus asking them for money. The mailings have confused and angered many of the recipients because they were led to believe that they had a bill that was past due only to open the mailing up and realize it was a fundraising drive.
