Yes... I'm being tribal. I love this country. I grew up in good place. I may not agree with our policies but the people here are the best, the parks, the charity, the culture........ I'll join again at 45 years old if they want to finish this.

Today, Obamas speech...Pragmatic, grounded, simple beginnings....a good guy. I don't agree all the time,,,but he's trying. When was the last time u saw that from a president????

If my country is in any way at risk of being attacked by the FRED, Barney, and Bam-Bam. Game on

While working with the border police south of Kandahar one of the police (a kid) asked why we kept building things. I said it was to make life better. He replied with the exact ideological answer I had been reporting back on for months, "but if life is better that will take away from our paradise." Those I worked with have a dark view of the world and of paradise that by increasing their living standard will decrease their paradise. Give a culture that has reached entropy, a formalized system based off of a violent ideology and you will have legitimized the structure for terrorism- that is the state of that union. For the Coalition Forces The biggest problem I saw was the abuse of priorities, and the constant shift of missions (NOT from out Pentagon, but the State Departments- ours and others.) We're fighting a war by committee with no understanding or willingness to understand the ideological implications.

Staying beyond this time is not healthy for Afghanistan (even if they want us,) whose black market and national economy was developed, and profits made, based off this war. There is no real desire to end it by any party. In short, their natural society is in conflict, their political society is in conflict, the sons and fathers, daughters and fathers, etc are all in conflict. Want to see what a dystopia looks like? Here it is. And we're walking through the rubble saying "here am I, your Creator."

If that cost anymore of our soldiers their lives, let them have their paradise. Lets speed along the process. We can't change the world. Nagasaki and Hiroshima were necessary. We do that to one their cities,,,,this shit well end. Unleash the power of the sun on these moon worshippers

L.A. like you said in another thread; "evolution" did not work on you; under the "apes" the rule was also to erradicate other "apes"; indeed Hitler was one of those "apes" including you. I guess you do not realize that the rest of the world is a lot larger than the US and has also the means to turn the US into a "swimming " pool. (your words) The total arrogance of the US and you is that 99% of all citizens here came from other countries and then claim you are superior and want to erradicate the rest of the world who live different than us and likely have more history and culture beyond the "hamburger and "gun" culture here, then you are mistaken. Like I said you likely never travelled the world or made a study of other cultures. It won't be long or China will bypass the US on all kinds of things; so then I guess you want to erradicate them as well. What an attitude!!

I came from this country. Also, sociologist describe that the "CAPTAIN SAVE EVERYONE COMPLEX" started when we were hunter/gatherers which later became (COMMUNUTY) We depended on each other for survival. TRIBALISM.........This isn't the case anymore. Our own citizens are losing that concept. Racism began by "TRIBAL THINKING".....Many miles, tradition, eating habits, different language, and yes worship and skin color kept these tribes separate.

I'm not interested in other cultures. Only mine. The swimming pool is for those "tribes" who pose imminent threat to my tribe (USA). You state that I'm from somewhere else. NO SIR. Having parents that are from somewhere else has absolutely no relevance on me. My Grandfather came from Ireland (father side). I am not Irish. I'm American. I've never been to Ireland, I don't eat Irish food or have Irish tradition...... Ireland is not threatening my country.

Sir, China can do what it wants......If China threatens my Tribe (USA)....then add China to the swimming pool list......We call your thinking the Captain-save-a-ho complex here in los angeles. Start worry about your TRIBE

    Mr. Dutch

There's a saying....." Nothing gets better, until I'm better...... Your thinking goes along the lines of a Michael Jackson production " We are the world". No sir, we are not the world..... You claim humanitarian and then you'll walk right to a Wal Mart and do your shopping, Purchasing Chinese made products, assisting American Workers to the unemployment line....You praise America and probably drive a Toyota.

I've never walked inside of a War Mart, not allowed in the city of los Angles. I drive a chevy, I shop union and eat hamburgers. I tell soldiers, "thank you" and suggest they wipe-out as many as the enemy as they can. That young soldier came from my tribe. Eats hamburgers just like I do. I don't give a damn about cultures that are trying to kill a member of my tribe (USA)

The last I checked we are not at war with Europe, mexico, Australia, Canada and numerous other tribes.....Only the moon worshipers. I suggest you pack up the family and move to Afghanistan since you've elected to be their global spokesman......You guys contradict yourselves daily.....May Allah bless you.

I became an "expert" on Afghanistan against my will (lol), but because I got paid, why not. The most interesting bit of history and 9/11 link was shortly after Taliban took over Kandahar. Taliban easily took over Kandahar because the people there was tired of the rampant and boastful pedophilia (war lords parading their boys as trophies - which were taken against their will.) But after Taliban took over, they began to "clean house" in all the other areas, such as women in public, or as they deemed inappropriate, and forcing all the people into the soccer stadium to watch (you might have seen that on youtube). The people were outraged and planned to destroy the Taliban, BUT... the UN came in to care for the victims of this new war, and the people saw that the Taliban had the support internationally, and became fearful of this and did nothing. From here they went north to Kabul, then to Mazar Sherif. After gaining control, Mohammad Omar was introduced to the Oil dudes from Argentina who wanted a pipeline to run through the Country. Then this Saudi Arabian outlaw, who just got pushed out of Somalia after the Battle of Mogadishu, asked for safe haven South of Kandahar Airport for his little group Al Qaida... and the rest is known history. It's not always the US that pokes and plays god, but the worst of them all is the UN (from my experience and perspective.)

You've been there. You have people in this forum that talk nonsense. The bottom line: KILL ANYONE THAT INTERFERES WITH THE LIVES AND FUTURE OF MY KIDS, MY PEOPLE AND COUNTRY.

Life isn't fair. I'm not the worlds policeman. My neighbors fight these wars. My friends fought these wars. I want them to come home and I don't care who they kill to get home. 3/4 of this planet believes in a spooky guy in the sky.....It's 2013...not,,,,,1213
