Looking at the present situation in and outside the US, things are pointing in a certain direction which may be lead to becoming WWIII.
The way the US is meddling in this whole world will have its effect; for instance the attacks right now in Somalia and Lybia as well the Mali front will eventually lead to a total Muslim front against the West. Right now the US spents billions on military actions all over the world with a huge price tag.
The total stupidity is that all this meddling only creates that those people start hating the US more and more and eventually will join forces to fight us.
Since 9/11 the terror organizations have only expanded; because of our attitude around the world.
If the US continues on the same path eventually this will lead to; as a thousand years ago Muslims against Christians and Jews. So this will become the biggest holy war ever. Sorry to say the US is helping a lot to create such. Just by killing a Muslim leader etc. does not eliminate any terror group, but instead makes their determination even stronger to see us as the enemy and are expanding.

Our foreign policy should drastically change; every year the budget and cost rises tenfold because of all the bases and area's where the US pokes its noses into; like Yemen, Mali, Sudan, Somalia, Pakistan, Philipines, Columbia etc. etc. Please add that to the total Pentagon budget. (my feeling is that the cost of all this is a hell of a lot more than Obama Care!!)

Sorry we can not even run our own country let alone some foreign country. We should stop being the policeman of the world; it is impossible to control the world to our liking, unless we become like Hitler.

I don't know why it fell to us that we should have to make the reprisals against these terrorists in the these well known terrorist havens, we weren't even the targets of these terrorists, I suppose now we will become the targets , the reason being given is of course is that we had a chance to bring to trial a high ranking member of the terrorist organization, I guess we ran out of drones.

johnny I guess we are fighting for Kenya, the same way we fight so many other wars for so many other countries that are none of our business.

Dutch you are correct we cannot even run our own country, not even close. Most of our government acts like a bunch of spoiled four year old kids. They all have to have everything they want and not share with any of the other spoiled four year olds. No sharing, no negotiating, it's all about ME, ME, ME. These people won't even TALK to each other. They WILL get in front of TV cameras and call each other names. Let's fire them all.

The USA shouldn't be the worlds policemen, and there are many reasons why(for one thing we can no longer afford it)...but we are. When we elected President Obama I really thought things were going to get better. He promised hope and change and like so many others, I believed him, and like so many others, I was greatly disappointed. I thought he would bring PEACE to America. But it didn't take him long to make the war in Afghanistan bigger, costlier in lives and money, and more wasteful and accomplishing absolutely nothing. He wanted to bomb Syria, and may do it still. He's not a PEACE president, he's a war mongerer, like the rest of them. Drones all over the world seems to be the goal.

If America can survive until 2016 maybe we can get a president, and a government, who will actually bring PEACE. I'm not counting on it.

Dutch I wish I could tell you that America is going to get smarter in the future, but it doesn't seem like it.

Jamesn. I'm amazed that you are only one of a few people who see the picture right. Indeed if we spent all our money on conflicts on other countries, what is then left to fix things here? To tell you the thruth what did all our wars benefit the US? Our borders and at home weaponary is sufficient to ward off any invader, so why are we spending more and more money on no return investments? I'm convinced that with our present militaristic attitude more conflicts and possible wars will be at hand, because the weapons industry has Washingtonin their grip and hands out plenty of royalties.

The latest on our waste of money and resourses; Mr. Kerry made a deal with Karzai to extend our troop deployment in Afghanistan; there we go again!!
I guess we reduce our debt much more by closing our National Parks. Wow. Anyway Obama again proves his promises of closing Guantanemo, stopping the war in Afghanistan are pure lies. The expenditure of all our overseas actions cost a fortune; stopping all of this useless nonsense would keep us within the debt limit for sure. This government is a total disaster. Do we keep voting all these nutheads back in? I wonder.
