    Traditional Congressional Oath of Office:
I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter: So help me God.
    2013 Congressional Oath of Office
I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic (as long as it is in my interest to do so); that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same (as long as I get what I want); that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion (as long as my benefits and pay continue); and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office (as long as I agree with everything or get what I want) on which I am about to enter: So help me God.

    Traditional Pledge of Allegiance
I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.

    Congressional 2013 Pledge of Allegiance
I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands as long as everything goes my way, one Nation under God (oops, can’t say that), divisible by political parties and elements of political parties, with liberty and justice for all as long as they can afford it or contribute to my campaign.
