The Lewis and Clark Interpretive Center in Washburn, N.D. is the proud new recipient of a first edition journal depicting a first hand account of the famed Lewis and Clark expedition that took place from 1804 to 1806. The journal was penned by Patrick Gass, who was a sergeant in the expedition. The curators of the museum have stated that it will be the oldest and most valuable book in their entire collection.
