I really liked your poetry. It was good rhyme, together with a coherent message. I don't fully understand all the economics factors you were using in your article. But if you say we are "doomed", it could well be so. I don't have a clue what to do in that case.
In all this world of Doom & Gloom
All problems seem to just mushroom
And nobody has a full size broom
Or even giant ostrich plume
To sweep our tears away.
If everybody sat and cried
Until their eye sockets all were dried
And their oceans of tears made a big mudslide
We could never decide on a place to reside
Where we all could survive without pay.
So if the govt shuts itself down,
We'd all probably drown,
With a smile or a frown, anyway.
In that case, put a smile on your face
Hope your taste buds still taste
Don't fear the size of your waist
And go out & really chow down.
