Aldous Huxley might not have been the first person to write about the experience of a variety of narcotics, but he was certainly the first was able to put it down in a poetic prose that nearly everyone could understand. Huxley had a way to explain the complex and in-depth feelings that drugs do to a persons psyche, among a whole host of other things.

Thoughts on Aldous Huxley and his life of writing about self-transcendence?
