Elisabeth Hasselbeck, the conservative co-host of "The View," has announced that she will be leaving the show and joining "Fox and Friends" in September. At the same time, Fox News announced that Gretchen Carlson will be leaving the morning show and taking over an afternoon slot starting in the fall.

This doesn't come as too much of a surprise after years of tension on the set of "The View" and I'm quite sure that Ms. Hasselbeck will feel right at home in her new surroundings. "Fox and Friends" is one of those shows that I can't help but watch. Ms. Hasselbeck has plenty of experience saying things that most people would find controversial, but now she will find herself surrounded by Steve Doocy and Brian Kilmeade, who will be far more amiable to her extreme views.

What do you think this means for the future of "The View?" It seems as if they are going through a complete transformation with Barbara Walters, Joy Behar, and now Elisabeth Hasselbeck leaving the show. And does anyone think that the layout of "Fox and Friends" will change much or if Ms. Hasselbeck will just continue in Gretchen Carlson's footsteps?
