I have a question, I haven't heard yet. If TM as "slamming" GZ's head on the cement, How was that accomplished? He had no hair for TM to grab on. Was he lolding GZ by the ears? But he had no bruises there and none of GZ's dna was under TM's nails. Just try it. Grab your ears. No DNA?

gg here's one way it may have happened: Zimmerman was on the bottom with Trayvon on top as the closest eyewitness testified. Trayvon took his fist, or forearm, or even open palm, and smacked Zimmerman in the nose. As Zimmerman's nose is smacked, his head smashes back on the concrete.

Neither of us was there so this is just a theory but GZ had a busted nose and lacerations on the back of his head, so this fits with the eyewitness testimony, and also matches GZ's injuries, so maybe this is what happened.

I moved from MA to Fl and I can see a big difference in how things are viewed. Politicians care far less about the people. The idea that Tray could have been the aggressor when Zimmerman was stalking him with a gun and had racial profiled him is crazy. Zimmerman followed him after being warned not to and followed this kid for no reason and had a gun. On fox news, Zimmerman said he would do it again and it was G-d will. G-d did not want an innocent kid who went to get a candy bar to be shot dead because of a vigilante. The police messed up by not arresting zimmerman and testing him to see what he was on. The fact that Tray had smoked one marijuana and had trace amounts inside him means nothing.

To allow an animation that is from the defense side is crazy. People will believe it as fact when in fact it is just made up from the facts as the defense wants us to believe. This is highly irregular and should not be allowed.

I was error it seems when I posted about 76 people being killed, it was 76 people shot and 9 died, which is still an awful amount of violence done during one holiday weekend but I still stand by post with respect to the non-reporting of this by the main Stream Media.

johnny you are right that the media mostly ignores the shootings in Chicago, and 76 people shot is a tragedy that few people know about and even less seem to care about.

It's easy for the media to ignore because it is "black on black" crime.

The Zimmerman trial should wrap up this week and on ABC NEWS tonight Dan Abrams, their legal "expert" said he did not see how Zimmerman could be convicted of 2nd degree murder OR manslaughter.

But he's not the final authority, so we should find out soon...

I have watched the trial off and on, but the one thing is for sure, the prosecution has blown this entire trial. This was supposed to be an open and shut case, the public opinion should have pushed this to a conviction within days and with very little said. Instead, they have made mistake after mistake and did the defenses job for them. I dont believe Zimmerman is guilty, and with Florida being an all or nothing state and over-reaching with the charges, Zimmerman will walk. I know the public outcry will be loud and riots are predicted, but where is the outrage for a thousand other cases that will never be made public because it doesnt allow a certain race of people to look like the victims and another to look like the boogyman. Its a shame that we still live in a society where race is such a touchy subject and a problem for this nation, and since Obama was elected all of that was supposed to be fixed by the way, but its about time we start treating all races equal instead of always choosing a side in the media and social networks.

The doll getting slammed on the courts floor, PERFECT!!! That was so weird and twice as funnier than hell. That will go down as the moment of the trial that will forever be remembered. Just like "if the glove dont fit..." in the OJ trial was, them slamming that dolls head on the floor was this trials OJ moment. Priceless!!!

I think you contridict yourself. You say ..."the public opinion should have pushed this to a conviction within days"... and then you follow with ..."I dont believe Zimmerman is guilty"...? A typo or do you really think Zimmerman is not guilty but want him convicted by public opinion?

Public opinion should NEVER decide guilt or not, that's why we have a trial so that facts and evidence can be presented so that a fair judgement can be rendered. The system is not perfect, does not always get it right but it's the system we have.

Yes..."race is such a touchy subject"... and it seems that the election of President Obama has not made things better. I just wish that President Obama would come out before the verdict and ask for calm no matter the outcome.

If Z is found not guilty I think the predictions of riots may come true.

It is in the nature of extreme liberalism that the court of public opinion be paramount in all things, the same holds true for the far Right Wing nuts, and to matters worse the Main Stream Media panders to both, either to sway Public opinion or to garner ratings and perhaps sell more papers. These types of high profile trials like OJ's, Rodney King, etc., are covered by the media only to create more controversy and not to seek or better yet not to assist in helping the public understand the issues of facts regarding these trials, Oh no, these news whores that continue to do this type of so-called news reporting discredit the entire field of serious journalists and they themselves should be called out on it and they themselves should be discredited

That is one of the best point of view that I think is right.

There are some who are watching and involved in this case after a 17 year old child was shot, which in itself is a tragic even if this young child was not a African-American, even if it was any other child there is still the point of views that the person that shot this kid should have stay where he was in his truck. Now that being say one would think that a wanna-be-cop because he was a captain of a neighborhood watch do not give you the right to shoot a unarm child of any race.

The prosecution is giving their closing arguments right now. I also think that they have done a very poor job. GZ will
probably be charged with a lesser charge. Public unrest ? Some but not too much is my guess. I admit I went into this trial
convinced GZ was a racist guilty of murder. We'll see what the jury decides...... I believe there are different levels of justice
in the US.... depending on how good the lawyers are that you can afford.

Jjesse normally no one has ..."the right to shoot an unarmed child of any race"... and I think that we all agree that it should never happen.

Did Zimmerman know how old Trayvon was? Trayvon was only 17 but reportedly was bigger and in better shape than Zimmerman. I doubt that GZ knew Trayvon's age.

While shooting a child should never happen, if he shot him in self defense, then it may have been justified and legal.

Tony you are right about the lawyers. That's what happened in OJ Simpsons trial--OJ had better lawyers.

When the trial started, I thought Zimmerman acted wrong but I didn't know if he committed murder, and I am even more convinced of it now. The burdon of proof is on the prosecution, proof beyond a reasonable doubt, and I don't think there was any way to do that, they just didn't have proof. Not the prosecutions fault, the evidence just did not exist.

But no one knows and they could still convict him, I just hope for no violence if he's acquitted.

nickpecoraro Wrote: I had to take my wife to the eye doctor yesterday. It is always a couple of hours wait so I got to watch the Zimmmerman trial on TV.

Here is my take on this.......

If I was walking home from a convenience store at night and someone was following me, I would find that threatening.

If I picked up the pace of walking and tried to lose the man following me, but he persisted in following....I would feel more threatened.

If he finally caught up with me, I would go into fight mode because of the threat to my security. I would think my assailant was about to do bodily harm.

This is what happened with Trayvon Martin and George Zimmerman.

For George Zimmerman to now plead self defense is ridiculous. He initiated the situation. He acted in a manner threatening to Trayvon Martin.

When George killed Trayvon he committed a crime.

I was reading a news article here in Columbus "Zimmerman observed Martin while driving in his neighborhood, called police and the fight ensued after the neighborhood watch volunteer got out of his vehicle. Zimmerman claims Martin was slamming his head into the concrete pavement when he fired his gun".
This is whats was posted our local news can't believe it !! He was just driving around...left out a lot in this article.
