I am tired of the Congress being out of session more than it is in session. If I did that on the job, I would not have a job for long. When will they figure out that they work for us. Thanks Chris for the comments you made tonight on All In. It was long past due and much needed. If Congress (and the House in particular) were so concerned about getting the most out of our tax dollars, I think they are the biggest waste. Very little legislation, spending too much time on ideological votes that have no chance of passage but get publicity for folks back home. Failing to pass a budget, effective gun safety, dealing with the sequester, infrastructure improvements, and immigration reform are ignored or getting lip service in the effort to work as little as possible. We the people need to make it clear to our legislators that they work for us-not for their campaign machine or their political cronies. I am letting my guys (and yes in Iowa it is all guys) know. Anyone else?

Considering the state of the Country as it now stands based on a two day work week, its scary to think what these fools could of done with a 5 day work week.

I like what happened in AZ. They were called back into session with the governor telling them that National Health Care was now the Law of the Land and they have to work with it. Not bad for a women Republican, or any republican. President Obama should take a lesson from her as I had felt he should have called Congress back into session a number of times. One instance was close to Christmas and he should have called them in telling them they could take a break from noon Christmas eve but had to be back the day after Christmas.
I don't believe that any member of Congress works only two days a week. Many are involved in work activities when not in session. It takes time for the lobbyists to tell them what they think, what to say and how they should vote. They also have to make "Fact Finding Trips" the team goes to the site of a problem and have their picture taken and hear people tell them what they want to hear. I liked seeing Bush place a couple of sand bags at such an event. An Email or a phone call would have provided them with more information. Press a couple of buttons and have over head pictures
