They are suggesting that Syria was going to transfer missiles to Hezbollah in Lebanon. It's not known if they were chemical weapons
or scud missiles. It was breaking news on MSNBC but it wasn't on network TV.

I just wish we would stop being the police force of the world.

Is Hezbollah taking advantage of the chaos in Syria to try to get more Syrian weapons?
Is Israel using the same chaos in Syria as an excuse to hit military targets?
Is the "Arab Spring" really working?

You say that ..."things will only escalate from here"... and I say that's not a hard prediction to make. It ALWAYS escalates sooner or later. Israel and _____ (somebody) are always engaging in small or large shooting wars then all sides stop to restock and re-load then it's just a matter of time until they start shooting again.
Both sides usually claim victory and actually Israel usually inflicts more damage to military targets than the other side but it really doesn't matter in the long run. The real winners are the leaders who have to keep the hatred ratcheted up so they can maintain their power. They do not really want peace, that would only diminish their power.
..."it will only escalate from here"... of course it will, it always does. The only question is when, this week, this month, this year...?

Lets just hope that all sides will show restraint in this latest flare up in the Middle East. I'm not counting on it but I'm hopeful!
