    After a surprisingly contentious debate, France’s National Assembly voted to approve President Francois Hollande's same sex marriage proposal. The debate drew hundreds of thousands of conservative activists to Paris that were bused in from surrounding providence's and quickly delved into a riot like scene in many parts of the capital. The vote makes France the 14th country that will allow gay marriage nation wide.

    When support for gay marriage is growing throughout our nation and the world, we must not forget that there is still a very powerful minority that will do whatever they can to deny this fundamental right to gay and lesbian citizens throughout the world, as the riots in France have shown. They have shown that they will go to extraordinary lengths to continue the discrimination that has been in place for years, even if it resorts to physical violence to prove the point. Attacks on homosexual's in France has skyrocketed in recent weeks, which shows that these hateful individuals will not go down without a fight.

    I applaud France and President Hollande for sticking up for liberty and equal rights for all of his citizens. As time goes on, I hope that more and more countries realize that their laws discriminating against gay's and lesbians are wrong and have the courage to stand up and say so. Thoughts on the gay marriage vote in France?

    You do it by telling them "It's against Gods plan, it's immoral, MY religion told ME so".

    How else could anyone justify something they disapprove of and that doesn't even affect or apply to them?

    On a more local note, Michelle Bachmann has threatened to leave Minnesota if same sex marriage is legalized today.
    I'm crossing my fingers that both of those events will happen:

    I wonder. If the northern states made gay marriage legal(you know, took part in the gay agenda) would the holier than thou folks flee to their homeland?

    Homeland = biblebelt

    I (do) believe...

    Whats next - Sarah Palin & Michelle Bachman announce they are actually lesbian lovers and going to move to Massachusetts? Or, JC decides to accept gay marriage as ok if you're gay? What's this world coming to???

    The powers that be don't understand backlash. Who woulda thought the Nam war would give us pot, LSD and great music. And without that the bicentennial wouldn't have been oh so cool. The push for gay marriage amendments made everyone go hmmm. And now we see the backlash. Gay marriage and pot being viewed in a way that makes the Archie Bunkers have a fit.
    The current backlash under construction? The right pushing conspiracy theories about Benghazi, the IRS and the Justice department are going to make selling a conspiracy harder than hell in the near future.

    Looks like there could be an added perk when same-sex marriages are legal country wide.

    My guess will be that her leaving the state will be the same as Hannity offering to get waterboarded for charity or Limbaugh saying he was moving to Costa Rica (or whichever country) to get away from health care.
