Someone asked me if the subject of this thread COULD be done. I tried everything in my power to experiment and see if maybe something like that could be done. I had zero luck, so iI emailed the Hub itself and here is what I wrote:
"I am very familiar with, and enjoy your Democratic Hub. Just one question though. Is there a way for me to send a message, not to just one user on the site, but to multiple users at the same time? I tried to see if there was a way to get more than one name in the "TO:" box, but obviously I was not successful. I would appreciate your feedback."
They were kind enough to respond with these words:
"Not at this time. We do have a revamped version of the messages feature in the works but it won't have an option to message multiple people.
We may consider something like this in the future but if so we would only allow you to message multiple people if they are on your friends list. This is to prevent spammers from abusing the website.
We do have a major overhaul of the website user interfaces planned for release hopefully by the summer."
So while it does look like some interesting and helpful additions are forthcoming, right now this is not a possible task.
