For this episode, hear the story of a senior citizen facing foreclosure and eviction, but learn about what her community is doing to help her save her home.

    More Info:
WE TALK TO A SENIOR-AGED WOMAN WHO HAS BEEN EVICTED FROM HER HOME IN SOUTH CENTRAL LOS ANGELES. WE WILL LEARN ABOUT HER CONFRONTATIONS WITH LOS ANGELES SHERIFFS, AND HEAR ABOUT HER YEARS-LONG BATTLE AGAINST THE BANKS WHO HAVE TRADED HER HOME BETWEEN MULTIPLE INVESTORS. IN EFFECT, THEY PREVENTED HER FROM RECEIVING ADEQUATE LOAN MODIFICATIONS TO KEEP HER HOME. SHE HAS BEEN WITHOUT HER HOME SINCE LAST WEDNESDAY.

UPDATE: 2/13/13: From LA Anti-Eviction Campaign: "Signature properties... allowed Ms. Hughes two more weeks to recover, and move her possessions from her home. Thank you to all of you who called on her behalf."
