Life Story of a City Council Candidate from South Central, High School Teacher, and Community Organizer who was born to an undocumented mother who fled civil war in El Salvador. Amid race riots in his school, he brought ethnic studies to classrooms to ease tensions in Los Angeles. He is now running for city council in LA's District 9, South Central. This mini-documentary focuses on the problems of South Central, and what we can do to ignite change at the top from the bottom.
