Mr.Wilson Wrote: i love hearing you anti-gun people talk about a topic you clearly have no knowledge of. First of all a firearm is a tool and nothing more. just as a hammer is a tool, its use is dictated solely by its operator. Gun does not equal violence. people equal violence. the problem is not firearms. its the people. in general we are told guns are bad stay away. i was brought up completely different. i was taught how to properly handle a firearm, how to clean, and safely store a firearm. i was taught about the power and the responsibilities of responsible ownership. these along with other common sence things iv picked up along the way have produced a responsible owner who posseses no threat to the general public be it through theft of his firearms or otherwise... this is what needs to be done. EDUCATION!!! not banning something that is nothing more than a tool. i dont want to seem unsympathetic to the mass shooting in ct but it was the mothers irresponsibility of keeping her firearms easily accesible to her mentally ill son that was to blame, not the firearms. if she had been educated in proper storage practices and safety maybe it would never have happened...

The NRA does not promote violence. they promote an individuals right to defend themselves. they promote responsible ownership. as far as fear the only fear they promote is the fear of having our right to bear arms infringed uppon. now while a lot of people dont like the idea of armed guards in our schools, it would work. a "good guy" protecting our children be it a retired cop or otherwise would stop school shoootings. i dont know how you say they are violent right wing nuts when they are the only organization who has actually provided, as contravercial as it is, a logical solution to the problem.

you anti- gun wingbats say thats what we have the police for. well im sorry to report that the avg. people killed in mass shootings when stoped by police is 22.6, the avg number of people killed when a citizen stops it is 2.2. the truth is that while they protect us to a point they are not faster than a bullet. if someone broke into your house youd wait anywhere from 5-15 min or longer for the police to show up. by then you are dead and your valuables are gone. if an armed robber breaks into my house they are dead and my family are safe. the police can come scoop up the body for me...

i understand that not everyone has the moral constitution and responsibility to defend themselves and their loved ones. but DONT TAKE THAT RIGHT FROM ME!

Hmmm, speaking of tools, isn't the GOP a tool for the NRA and the outdated second amendment? Mr. Wilson, I think this guy is knocking on your door.

    Such an old thread.

What a well thought out, & poignant post that you repeated about two dozen times. But, I completely agree...... More guns indeed. Speaking of Christmas I’ll be wrapping, & Santa will be leaving a brand new Heckler & Koch VP9 9mm, 15 round capacity handgun under the Christmas tree for my 16 year old nephew (I’m his favorite uncle for a reason). Even bought a couple new X-Mas presents for myself as well-the absolutely stunning CZ Shadow, 9mm with 3-18 round, high capacity magazines, & the German masterpiece-So hard to locate, but finally found one online-The MP-5 civilian variant, HK SP5K 9mm with 3-30 round, high capacity magazines.......The Fun Gun!!! Again, I couldn’t of said it better myself.....We need more guns! Have over 15 handguns, SMG’s, & AR’s, & I still want more to add to my collection. Call me greedy, but you can never seem to have ebougn nothing better than quality firearm’s. Again, completely agree with you. You I never seem to have enough guns!

The NRA isn’t going anywhere, & if they died tomorrow (which will never happen) it wouldn’t matter anyways....The 1st Amendment would have a better chance of being overturned if a socialist gets elected (thank God that will never happen) before the 2nd Amendment ever would. You know it as well as I do....Guns will never be downsized, or outlawed....Would be political suicide, & the start of a second Civil War. Except this time it would not only be from the South, but just about every state in the union, including most of our military (2/3rd’s vote GOP), private defense contractor’s, & the countless militias. California, New York, & the City of Chicago would be the first to fall. Gun owners outnumber gun control advocates by a ratio of over 100-1. It’s hard to win a gun battle, or debate when you’ve probably never seen a gun (except on TV), never bought one, never held one, & never fired one. I highly doubt those lovely, & extremely fashionable black clad wearing, face covered, room temperature IQ’d, rock throwing, & mace spraying ANTIFA, LGBT warriors wouldn’t fair too well if the 2nd Amendment was under any threat.....We would call that the progressive’s worst nightmare.

FYI- I’m a regional marketing VP for Walther Firearms. The makers of the iconic WWII German Walther P-09, & the James Bond classic Walther PPK. All being said, it would be my pleasure to present you with a brand new full size Walther PPQ 9mm, 15 round capacity with 3 magazines at cost (a $600 handgun for under $220) that you can put under the tree for yourself, wife, or even the kids. I’ll even throw in 200 rounds of Critical Defense, nickel plated, polymer filled, 9mm, hollow points (very efficient, & the bad guys never get back up) as stocking stuffers. Trust me, you’ll be the hero instead of the Christmas zero when giving such an exquisite German made gift. Send me an email, & I’ll make it happen....I’m 100% serious, & it would be my pleasure! Some people like golf, others like myself prefer the shooting range. Owning a firearm is all about safety, & showing the utmost respect for that firearm. Anything less is unacceptable, & anyone not following the rules should have their firearms confiscated, & never returned. Please avoid painting with wide brushed fallacies. It sounds foolishmas well as a total breakdown of you’re critical thought processing skills. I’m sure you’re much smarter than that.
    Merry Christmas!

Should we contact the FBI or the ATF and tell them you're attempting to sell guns here?

Slate: The Myth of the Good Guy With a Gun

I am a grandfather, and I would not let my grandchildren play or stay at a gun owners home unless I knew that their guns were all under lock and key in a safe, and not on a nightstand or under a pillow where children sneak off to play when parents aren't watching. The tragedy of so many gun deaths is that they are "accidental"...a child picking it up and it accidentally goes off killing another child or even a parent. I read about those incidents in the news all the time. They receive lots of thoughts and prayers. Oh and there is this:

Pew Research Center: 7 facts about guns in the U.S.

"The nearly 40,000 Americans who died of gun-related injuries in 2017 marked a 19% increase from 2012 and the highest annual total since the mid-1990s."

And I see the Sig Sauer brand name listed here under "Blood Money". Maybe you are a troll and not who you claim to be. I can see you getting bumped from this website.

Just another un-educated troll; fits exactly the Hitler Jugend as well the idiots who killed themselves in Guyana; it is this type of "cult' which makes this country an parasite in the world. The standing of this country in the world is now already sunk to its lowest level ever, Sorry there is nowhere in the world an "second amendment"; except here, which is even wrongly interpreted by the zillion lawyers here; may be this "troll" should read it for a change; it says the "militia" can have an "musket"; nowhere it says you can have an AR 15 etc. or be an "civilian".

Thanks to the stupidity on this country to refuse to make the "base law" an "living document" which should be updated daily as other civilized countries do. Not as here, only less than about 150 amendments in 300 years

Although none of us are going to agree with Sig Sauer's love for guns, he DID say one thing that makes sense:

"Owning a firearm is all about safety, & showing the utmost respect for that firearm. Anything less is unacceptable, & anyone not following the rules should have their firearms confiscated, & never returned." Well, Sig, that's exactly what red flag laws are all about. As of August of this year, 17 states and the District of Columbia have passed red flag laws. Although the overwhelming number of them are "blue" states, I was surprised to see Florida on the list, since the state was one of the first to pass a "stand your ground" law, that gave George Zimmerman a pass for killing Trayvon Martin.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Red_flag_law

One problem that his post exhibited, though, is that it actually IS far too easy to buy a gun online. He gave no indication that he was first going to do a background check on any of us that responded, even though Wayne LaPierre, in 1999, said "We feel it is reasonable to conduct a background check on every gun sale - NO EXCEPTIONS".
