Republican U.S. Rep. Scott DesJarlais of Tennessee's ex-wife had two abortions. The first one was while she was taking an experimental drug and the second one was while they were having relationship problems before they were married. While he was practicing medicine he also talked a patient whom he was having an affair with into having an abortion. This is a man who ran on a Pro-Life campaign. I understand the feelings of people that are truly Pro-Life because I myself believe that abortion should be the last resort, but I also believe that a woman should have that right. However, this man is a hypocrite that is lying to Pro-Life believers for political gain.

Imagine that: an American politician lying for political gain. What were the chances?

The Democratic House members need to publicize this schmuck and his actions. How could the people of Tennessee elect him? Did they not know of his indiscretions? And certainly the Republican Party has some responsibility in seeing to it that those running for office under their banner are actually real representatives of their causes. Just more evidence of that party's impending doom.

The leaders of the Republican party have no conscious about who they put out. Reed and Norquist are darlings of the party again after their disgraceful involvement with Jack Abramoff. I used to vote more across party lines until I found out how corrupt the Republican party has become. Neither party is corruption free but the Republican party seems like it is bent on supporting corruption.
