Christie's new tune since Sandy

It's comforting to know that someone like Christie can put politics aside when the welfare of his people are at stake. A few weeks ago, Christie said that that Obama lacks all leadership qualities and compared him to a man fumbling in the dark for a light switch. Since Sandy, Christie has done nothing but praise Obama for his efforts and it seems that he has put all politics aside until the emergency is at it's end. I know we don't usually tip our hats to the GOP, but I must say, good on Christie. The welfare of the victims of the hurricane should come first.

Jon Stewart said it best for me, so here it is.

The same cannot be said for Romney though. Romney has been doing volunteer work and fundraising to help out but all of his efforts have gone only to the swing states. Source

'Mitt Romney is sending the supplies he asked supporters to bring to his “non-political” campaign event today — to which Romney invited NASCAR driver Richard Petty — in the battleground state of Ohio, only to victims of Hurricane Sandy in swing states that the GOP candidate has a chance of winning: Virginia, North Carolina, New Hampshire and Pennsylvania — not the two areas hardest hit by Hurricane Sandy: New Jersey and New York."

As a matter of fact Romney hasn't even called Christie in New Jersey. Granted, Romney is not president so it's not currently his job, but it's just seems odd that Romney hasn't offered any support to one of the most outspoken people for Romney. I guess once he knows he has your support, he feels it's okay to ignore you.

Christy is nothing more than a typical politician looking out for himself! Remember his speech before the Refublican convention? It was all about him, not Mittens! He'll be running for president in 2016 when and if Mittens loses, fer sure. Right now he can gain from praising Obama, next month, who knows?

If Romney should win Christie will NOT be able to run in 2016. BUT if Obama wins he CAN run( if he doesn't split a gut first.) So, by all means says Christie , let's get Obma elected. Let's not be taken in by these political charlatans..

Very true, leftofcenter, BUT if Obama wins and Christie runs for the Republicans in 2016 (with his gut still intact), Hillary will wipe his behind!

Hi Mike, We might hope that Hilary ( I would hope we could do a little better than her ) ....might hope that she could put him away. But if the market tanks again ( likely) and the economic picture doesn't look any better.....the vote could very well go the other way and probably would.
