According to many religions and churches, we are in the end days, about two months to go. My question, what will all these doomsday sayers say when the year 2013 comes? Will they say the end days are still here, just not quite here? For sure, and many will believe their every word as they write the check to save the soul. Sorry church goers, if your life didn't start writing the check to save your soul years ago, no money for any church or false religion will pay for your sins.

If indeed Romney wins, I guess we will be in for tumultous times. I'm sorry to say that the churches will be sorry in the end for their meddling in this election.
Anyway the situation in the U.S. will not change much because we are tied to the world economy. Drastic changes which Romney may want will take a lot of time because of likely gridlock in the Congres etc. Even if Romney uses every dirty trick in the book, he will upset the apple cart and this will have consequential effects on the society, which than (too late) will realize Obama was not all that bad.

It is not what Romney will do that scares me, it's what he won't do that is really scary. Like end the war, push for a solar grid, push for a national health care solution, and all the other things that will help the majority. He will do what he can to help the rich only, but as you stated, he may get shot down by congress and the senate, let’s hope so. But what happens when Hitler’s media brainwashed vote in more of Romney’s SS into the congress and senate, what’s going to happen when the brainwashed votes out the allies? World War III is my guess with America’s majority on the losing side.

Romney's candidacy did not start the slide of the American Empire into the garbage heap of history, but he may very well preside over the funeral.

Great replies by leftofcenter and unitedmajority!!
However i like to add the old saying : The people in the U.S. deserve to get whatever they voted for, in case Romney wins!!! I know this hurts, but since the majority of voters are either too ignorant or refuse to do any beforehand research and just select on race or a better hairdo or teeth.
I'm affraid that indeed "race" and "religion" plays a huge factor. Integrity or facts do not count.
In the past the Mormons were the enemy of the Central Government in the 1800's and were chased and banned; they moved then to Utah (at that time still Mexican lands) I guess they are now in a postion to have their revenge. Forget seperation of Church and State; this will be scrapped for sure.

We can thank Mexico for all the votes to keep Romney and the Mormon Church out of control. Maybe this was Mexico's revenge on the Mormons?

Yeah, sure we can thank them; the only thing I hope they are not mowing Romney's lawn or unplug his sewer. (kind of nasty)

Most likely they are, along with doing millions of jobs legal Americans should be doing. I guess it is not the modern day slaves of today we should thank, but the ones that have been coming here for decades, having millions of children that are legal, that will vote in favor of Mexico.

Back to the beginning TOPIC --- we may be in the Last Days. Yes, it may be so. There are many reasons to at least consider it. The ancient Mayan-Aztec calendar ends on Dec 20, 2012. Many have considered that to be significant.

Then there are the Biblical phrases about the ARMAGEDDON. (The Final War). What many do not realize, is that Armageddon refers to an actual geographic location. The Plains of Megiddo. Geography can change in that region, from year to year, so in the last few years, that
place was in Palestine, and NOW some consider it part of Israel. So keep this in mind for the Final Days.

In the last 24 hours, there is a NEW WAR brewing between those nations, and we are getting VERY CLOSE to the Final Date on the Aztec-Mayan calendar --- near the 20th of December, 2012. That gives us only 33 days left. UNTIL THE END.

The Bible gives us the signs that the end of the world is coming. It describes extreme pollution in the oceans and waters. Well, I guess a few big oil spills (like the Gulf of Mexico) might count, along with Exxon-Valdez in Alaska in 1989, and the enormous catastrophe in Japan about one year ago, where tons of radio-active debris was released into the Pacific Ocean & floating all the way to America, killing fish & all kind of marine life every inch along the way. Distributing here lots of radioactive fish, with the tons of debris.

The Bible describes that nearly 1/3 of the life in the seas would be dead, & the ocean would be "worm-wood." An interesting choice of words. For a few years ago, a nuclear power plant in Russia irradiated so much land that no population could live anywhere near it. The NAME of that nuclear power plant was Chernobyl. The word Chernobyl translates to "wormwood". (The word used in the Bible). So after Japan's 6 nuclear power plants went haywire, they melted down & released tons of radioactive debris into the ocean, & it floated clear over here by now. So the oceans have now become "worm-wood" --- like Chernobyl, (from a nuclear power plant).

The Bible also says there will be numerous earthquakes. There are websites where you can look up the number of earthquakes every day, all over the world. In Japan alone there are more than one a week. Most of them are mild, but some are enough to cause alarm.
We even have a few each month here, & even though most are mild, some could cause a whole lot of damage. If they just happened to be in the wrong vulnerable place. It could look like New York & the East coast, (only this time caused by Hurricane Sandy).

The Bible also says that there would be Wars all over the place. Look at the Middle East; -- Iraq, VietNam, Afghanistan, Iran,
Syria, Egypt, North Korea, Pakistan, not to mention China & Russia sometimes "unfriendly", & some Muslim nations.

Our own Congress has become "hostile" to America, with some saying they want to secede from the Union, although I figure that most people who sign that ridiculous petition to be partially insane or completely stupid. Both of those seem to be a prerequisite to be a Republican these days. (ha) Even Bobby Jindal publicly stated they should "quit being the party of stupid." At least he admitted it.

Well, fellow Americans, we have about 30+ days to go. IT LOOKS REALLY BAD, since almost all the "Signs" mentioned in the Bible have come to pass, and this old world is so polluted, damaged, bankrupted, & in endless War, & even the churches have become so corrupt that God would smite them all into the pits of Hell, in a holy heartbeat. [See Matthew 25: 31-45] for the Judgment Day scenario.

I do not mean to be "negative" -- but many people do not know all the warnings & explanations listed in the Bible, to know that we are most likely in the End Times, and that they should take stock of how they want to depart from here. The arrogant LIARS in the GOP trying to destroy President Obama. Remember: "Blessed are the Meek, Turn the other cheek, & Do Not Bear False Witness." The GOP violates most of the commandments most every day. "It is easier for a camel to walk thru the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter the Kingdom of Heaven." and "Blessed are the PeaceMakers, for they shall be called the children of God." //

I HOPE that the PREDICTIONS are WRONG. I HOPE THAT after Dec 20th, we will all be celebrating Christmas, & going down on Christmas morning to check out our Xmas stocking on the mantle, open our presents, & that night -- Sleep in Heavenly PEACE.

"eternalflame" I guess you got it all wrong. You keep forgetting "bibles etc. all were written by "human's" not little monsters from Mars.
Since this world has been occupied by humans for a long time, things have happened continously. When your "book" was written and translated a million times, the same things happened to humans: Flooding ( Noah), earthquakes and vulcano erruptions (Vesuvius Italy) polution (there was no carbage pickup in those days) plenty of wars (man to man combat killed even more people than today's wars), all kind of deseases ( more than today i.e. "black plague" etc.)
The only difference is that due to "development" we are more "up to date" via the media; in your "book days" the earth was flat; nobody knew what happened on the other side of the world, for instance if a vulcano errupted in Japan or Mexico etc. Do not forget the area in which this book was written was very tiny by todays standards.
What I'm trying to tell you is don't worry; the present day destruction power of some nations is that big; that they will do everything in their power to prevent a holocost; because even if these leaders have a huge ego, it will also destruct themselves.
Of course there are plenty of other books who predict "something"; seemingly because of human nature they always find a way to defend themselves if a "prediction" does not materialize. Do not forget your book is a translation from a compiled bunch of different writers, who you never met, or could interview. The point I'm making is that even of my original lanquage, certain words can not directly be translated into English because it then looses its original meaning or character. The same accounts for these very old documents. Your book predictions are nothing new; in Russia which people used your book, predicted the same as you mentioned and hid in caves for weeks. Sure things will happen in this world which may not be pleasant, but just to follow an "antique" book won't work, because if your interpretation is correct also this book will be destroyed and maybe a new type of Adam & Eve will rise from the ashes and learn a snake to talk and will be able to walk on water.!!!

No one knows when the end of the world is coming but people will believe what they what to believe and that's all good as long as they do not try to impose their beliefs on me. If they believe in the bible, or not it doesn't matter to me. Same with athiests, let them believe what they want but do not impose those beliefs on me. A good natured debate is OK but respect my beliefs just as I respect yours.

One thing all the "END OF THE WORLD" predictions have in common: They have all been wrong. So far, anyway.

"All we can do is what we can do, it don't pay to worry are whole life too."

I refuse to worry about things I can't change, if the world is going to end, I can't change that by worrying.

Hi guys: Nice of you to read my little article, developed by many years of Bible study. I never try to impose my beliefs on anyone else, & firmly believe that all religions & belief systems should be respected. But since the Bible is authentically a Historical piece of literature, that documents how things developed in ancient Israel, and how moral codes were established that eventually led to OUR LAWS here in the United States, it is interesting to understand the gradual evolution of human thought. We CAN learn a lot about history & even though some of it seems to be a bit of superstition, MOST of the civilized world derives some of their morals & belief systems & Laws, from these ancient revered texts.

In college Biology, I suddenly realized that the exact same sequence of Evolution, starting with single celled organisms in the ocean, that gradually formed vertebrates like Fish, and eventually developed into human life with a brain & a moral conscience. THIS REALITY is exactly the same sequence in the Bible (written over 2,000 yrs ago) describing the CREATION. (How did THAT happen?) Does it mean that the Bible just "accidentally" happened to write the way evolution developed? Long before science or microscopes were even invented?

It almost stunned me off of my chair, & I remember one dark night, walking across campus with my physics professor, asking him what HE thought about Evolution Vs Creation? (I had come to the conclusion that BOTH were true). And my professor totally agreed with me. That was the semester I learned about E=MC2 (theory of relativity). It leads to a theory of Time Travel. (& maybe even what God is).

If the Bible has given us our moral code (ethics, etc) & a History of ancient past, & now the secret mechanics of evolution of Life itself, then why should I discount the wisdom of those ancient writers? I think that many writers are inspired by something almost divine. Look at Nostradamus, who could predict the future. HE HAD QUEENS & KINGS wanting him to come advise them about their future. He accurately predicted that the King would be killed in a jousting tournament (on horseback, 2 men attacking each other with a lance or spear). His prediction came true, & the King died, as foretold, & the Queen asked Nostradamus to come make a prediction for herself & all their children. The real tragic story of Nostradamus is too long to write here, but his life (as a true genius) started out as a physician, but while out trying to rescue other people from the Plague, his own family (wife & kids) all died from it. He almost fell apart from Grief. But then he began sitting up all night, looking at the moon reflected in a glass of water by his window, & thoughts began to "come to him" -- by divine inspiration of God. His PROPHECIES now are world famous, (1,000 quatrains of verse -- written 1557 to 1566) -- & millions of people still come from all over the world, to see his home & museum in France, each year. Millions of people are still studying (& analyzing) his Prophesies, even today.

By trying to understand Theory of Relativity, (Einstein) you can see that TIME does not Exist. And that it all has to do with SPEED. If you could travel at the velocity of Light, you could make Time stop. And God can be anywhere or everywhere all at one time. And that makes him Ageless, & invisible, and able to live in the past, the present, and the Future, all at one time. In other words in ETERNITY. Wild, huh?

If God is invisible, it would be another reason why he sent aliens to guide man way back when, and then Jesus in later days to guide man. I thought God him self never came to guide us for one reason, if God did come down to earth, man would have undisputable proof of God. But I guess being invisible could be another reason for this.
