It is silently exercised during the interview process as old white men don't hire those African Americans. It's compounded by our judicial system who put's people into jail with a certain slant mirroring racism. The previous two factors assist the downward spiral. Extreme poverty causes people to commit crimes. It's spoken about in private conersations. Perhaps those who are guilty forget that a mere 200 years ago, much prejudice was effecting whites who were from Ireland, Italy, or whichever country was being targeted at the time.
