Connecticut is odd when it comes to U.S. Senate races. Since at least 1988, the state runs a very strong 3-way race between the Independent Joe Lieberman and the usual Republican and Democrat nominees. Most states barely have a 2 way race, like mine here in Texas. But for the first time since 1988, Lieberman is not running for re-election.

Chris Murphy seems to be the favorite for the Democrats right now while Chris Shays is a front runner for the Republicans. Murphy seems like a really good choice, and he has raised a lot of campaign funds so far. Polls show that Conn. is heavily favored Dem. Should be interesting to watch though.
