Despite exit polls (2004) predicting an overwhelming victory for John Kerry, by midnight most official tallies showed a decisive lead for George W. Bush. The Republicans derided anyone who expressed doubts about the victory as nutcases in "tinfoil hats." But gradually evidence began to emerge that something "troubling" had occurred. Nearly half of the 6 million U.S. voters living abroad never received their ballots -- after the Pentagon unaccountably shut down their modernized website used to file overseas registrations. A consulting firm (Sproul Assoc) hired by the Repub Nat'l Comte to register voters in 6 battleground states, was discovered as they were "shredding" Democratic registrations. In New Mexico, malfunctioning voting machines had mysteriously failed to properly register votes on over 20,000 ballots. Nation-wide, as many as one million ballots were spoiled by faulty voting equipment (roughly 1% of all the ballots cast).

In OHIO, the state that clinched Bush's victory in the electoral college, officials had purged tens of thousands of eligible voters from the rolls; did NOT process registration cards from Democratic voter drives; short-changed Democratic precincts in allocating voting machines; & ILLEGALLY derailed a "RECOUNT" that could've given John Kerry the presidency. [p.46]

Any election, of course, may have anomalies. But in 2004, they had a decidedly "partisan" bent: Almost without exception, they hurt John Kerry & "benefitted" George Bush. After carefully examining the evidence, I've become convinced that Bush's party mounted a massive coordinated campaign to subvert the will of the people in 2004. Across the country, Repub election officials & party stalwarts employed a wide range of illegal & unethical tactics to fix the election. In OHIO, alone, at least 357,000 voters, overwhelming majority of them Democrats, were prevented from casting ballots, or did not have their votes counted. More than enough to shift the entire ELECTION Results. Another strange thing in OHIO, 1/4 of all Ohio citizens who registered to vote, showed up at the polls only to discover that they had not been listed on the rolls, thanks to GOP efforts to stem the flood of Democratic voters.
Then there is evidence of "outright fraud" where over 80,000 votes for Kerry were counted instead as votes for Bush. This alone caused a "swing" of 160,000 votes, enough to have put John Kerry into the White House. Other oddities: there were people waiting in line for 12 hours to cast their ballots, & some were not allowed to vote anyway since they had been sent to the wrong precinct. Long lines prevented 174,000 citizens from voting. It happens that in OHIO they had a secretary of state who was determined to guarantee a Republican outcome. The extent of the GOP's rigging shocked even the most experienced observers of US elections. They said Ohio was as dirty as any election ever seen before.

Another major clue of Fraud was the deviation between exit polls & actual vote counts. Polls in 30 states were off so much that it can't be accounted for by a margin of error.
According to Steven Freeman, visiting scholar from the Univ of PA, who specializes in research methods, "it is IMPOSSIBLE that the discrepancies between predicted & actual vote count in the 3 critical battleground states could have been due to chance or random error."
After a great deal of statistical study of the voting patterns, "-- such results provide virtually irrefutable evidence of vote miscount, & are completely consistent with election fraud -- specifically vote-shifting." [p.50]

Good information on the 2004 election,

Although I'm absolutely convinced that George W Bush is a bigger crook than Richard Nixon ever was, some of my conservative friends wouldn't be swayed due to the fact that they would consider Rolling Stone to be a "liberal" publication, and they also would consider Robert F. Kennedy Jr. to be liberal as well.

I frequently use Wikipedia for research on a multitude of topics, since I've found that it is usually an unbiased and reliable source.

The Wikipedia article about the 2004 election is LONG, but it clearly comes to the same conclusion that you did about voter fraud. Particularly telling is the fact that Ohio's then Secretary of State, Ken Blackwell, served in the dual roles of Chief Elections Official of Ohio AND the honorary co-chair of the "Committee to re-elect George W. Bush". You don't have to be very bright to recognize that those dual roles represented an obvious conflict of interest, which led to the filing of AT LEAST sixteen lawsuits.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ken_Blackwell

Mr. Blackwell is continuing to do damage even today because he is currently Vice Chairman of the Republican National Committee's platform committee.

In January of 2007, a jury convicted two Ohio election officials of voter fraud because of inaccurate recount results .. and that's just the beginning.

There are a number of items listed in the article listed below under "points of controversy" that well REALLY raise your eyebrows:

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_presidential_election,_2004

We're all familiar with the "hanging shards" from the 2000 election, which also was a fraudulent election. Call me crazy, but the fact that Jeb Bush was the governor of the state that ultimately decided the Presidential election of his brother seems, well, a little suspicious. After the election, the National Opinion Research Center at the University of Chicago examined 175,000 ballots from the entire state, and not just the disputed counties, and concluded that Gore SHOULD have won the election.

Some of the changes that have been made since those elections to help stop voter fraud still haven't stopped the Republicans from continuing to try. In 2011, twelve states passed laws that imposed further voting restrictions, which prompted Attorney General Eric Holder to announce, in December, that the Justice Department would be aggressively reviewing the new laws to make sure that they would not reduce participation by minority voters, who were more likely to vote for Democratic candidates.

In retrospect, both John Kerry and Al Gore should have put up a tougher fight, because the election of George W. eventually cost our country needless BILLIONS of dollars in national debt and needless casualty deaths in Iraq.

In closing, I'd like to add one more comment about "W":

Good information and sources, ARIZONA --- Thank you for all your help and input.

I used the ROLLING STONE source material because I found out years ago, that there are many types of information sources OUTSIDE the "Mainstream Press" that are True & Reliable. Also, they cover areas where the mainstream media seem to be frightened or "censored". But the
"alternative" press have often been the first for "breaking news" on controversial topics.

ONE CASE in point: -- THE JFK ASSASSINATION -- All the news media were parroting the same old
tune -- that Oswald did it, he was the sole assassin. No other explanation was allowed. BUT in the year 1967, "PLAYBOY" Magazine published an "Interview with Jim Garrison" that began to blow the "cover" story to bits. People heard that there were lots of possibilities as to what had actually happened. It renewed many people's faith to hear the Truth gradually come out.

http://www.jfklancer.com/Garrison2.html  --- should link you to that Interview at PLAYBOY.

----PLAYBOY Magazine: vol 14 no 10 -- October 1967 (Interview with Jim Garrison)

I find it much easier to believe any "liberal" news sources, instead of any "conservative" ones. For one thing, most of the Founding Fathers were Liberals, & it seems to follow thru that the INTELLECTUALS are usually liberals, also. (The root of "liberal" has the same root
as the word "liberty"). Now I can climb down off my soapbox & go to bed:)

I will try to post MORE on the "RIGGING" of the 2004 ELECTION of Geo. W. BUSH, tomorrow.

(author: Robt F Kennedy, Jr -- son of the murdered Atty General Robt F Kennedy, who was the brother of JFK, our murdered President of the United States (term: 1961 - 1963). RFK, Jr is
an environmental attorney, one of the most respectable men in the United States. I would take his word over almost anyone on earth, due to his lifetime of impeccable integrity.

    The beat goes on ..

Manipulation of voting results by the Republicans didn't end in 2004. The article below describes how it still happened in 2008, and they're trying it again in 2012:
