DeMint's 'cut, cap, balance' pledge

    DeMint has been promoted a 'cut, cap, balance' pledge. He has even criticized fellow conservatives who have yet to sign it. The pledge seems like just a show, not a binding contract. Do pledges like this have any real meaning or is just a publicity stunt?
