The "Santos" case

    All of this "case" shows how our "representatives" are "elected. The point I'm trying to make is how many other senators got in by the same or worse lies. What did it say in Jordan's qualification check"? and in "Greene's" qualification check" ? etc. I bet plenty of GOP members lied about their "knowledge" of "governing" or "the "laws" let alone knowledge about the "world" and the "why" of living on this planet.

    Most of them are "mis-informed" or are lacking world knowledge or the basic knowledge of "uniformity" or how to streamline things. Let alone have "management experience" or learned on how to "trouble shoot".

    Doing things in an coherent fashion and do such without manipulation seems to be impossible.

    All of this shows that the only thing what seems to count is as I've said so many times before is: How much money can the person "raise" and who are his/her buddy's who help to promote the person. Therefore "background checks have to be done" by an solid well educated independent group of "specialist" who can determine if the person is suited for the job. I was screened many times by whole groups of specialist, before I got the job and got my clearances worldwide to be able to negotiate contracts with airlines and governments/military etc. Why not the same for an Government job?

    Sorry to say, no wonder our government gets an January 6th situation if you don't make sure that even an incoming President should be "qualified" for the job in the first place ; not by an "hoopla" circus like how Trump got the job. I guess his "background check" was not important enough and made no headlines. However the dumb ass people here still voted for him. So something must be wrong in the education of the general population here as well.

    Therefore if the next President gets "elected" in 2024, then if nothing is done about "qualification" and an thorough screening, then we will get the same chaos as we have now, over and over again. The "Santos" case shows were the "cracks" are in the system.

    I agree. The system which was created with the unspoken assumption that those running for office would be the elite, the untitled as such aristocracy. They simply did not envision idiots like what we have running for office. And since propertied white males only had the franchise the pool of candidates was not merely small, it was basically controlled. Over time the pool became less controlled as the parties preferred, for lack of a better term, lackies. So, yes, change is required. Unfortunately, it would take legislation would be required. That is highly unlikely to happen. The actual power holders, wealth, do not want it to happen. Instead the focus is on issues that, while important, do not change the structure of the system.

    Thanks "lonely"; at least you do write, which I appreciate. Yeah, the only thing is as you said; the will is not here to make things "waterproof"; that is what you get with a zillion partisan lawyers here.

    Thus my only answer is just "muddle on" forever; at least some of us get rich because of it.

    The latest on this "idiotic" case. The crazy GOP still wants to inaugurate this idiot. Doing so then the "oath" of office means nothing anymore. Hand on the "bible" that you never will lie and "cheat" has then become an total joke. Which ever "company" will ever hire such person? But yeah our "government" does so without blinking.

    So today the "new" 2023 "circus" is trying to start their "nonsense, McCarthy has not got the votes to "lead" the party in the House. May be "Greene" can be the "stand in" for now; she's the biggest clown they have.

    How can the "world" around us, in these difficult times "trust" the US to establish "peace" , if they can't even run their own country the proper way.

    It looks like that this total lying idiot will be sworn in; especially now the GOP has the majority in the house. I saw some clips onTV were he was running around in the government as an "king". Now McCarthy has won, I believe all of this craziness will be tolerated. Is there no shame at all here.

    The GOP has now become the party of "liars" and "cheaters.

    He is scheduled to be sworn in next Tuesday, when the US House reconvenes. If he assumes office, he could face investigations by the House Committee on Ethics and the Justice Department.

    Since the inmates are now running the asylum, he is not likely going to get hurt by the Ethics committee.

    However, it is still possible than Nassau County could prosecute.

    Nassau County District Attorney Anne T. Donnelly, a Republican, said the fabrications and inconsistencies were “nothing short of stunning.”

    “The residents of Nassau County and other parts of the third district must have an honest and accountable representative in Congress,” she said. “If a crime was committed in this county, we will prosecute it.”

    Also, don't forget that Andy Gibbs, Paul Gosar, and a few other right wingers will be facing charges by the Justice Department for their role on January 6.

    It accidently would not take much to change the House back to Democratic control if a few of the clowns were yanked from office. It would not take 13 votes to elect Hakeem Jeffries as Speaker.

    Sure, your second line says it all, "Ethics" are an far from my bed show. Nassau county "could " procecute, but likely they will get some phone calls from Trump and McCarthy. End of story. Sorry but this country gets more corrupt per day.

    By the way , I hope you saw the Fareed show today; it showed what is going on in the world in 2023. Certainly not too hopeful for improvement.

    The total idiot Santos still sits in the government; such shows that the whole bunch of GOP hypocrites don't care at all about the "quality" of their representatives. At least an President should step in and fire the guy; but yeah he's to busy with his "document" surprise. I hope at least that he let some competent people "fix" this case. Just let the GOP fight amongst themselves and do something "good" for the country for a change. I'm getting a bit sick of all these policies played, which does not help the people of this country at all, but only creates more "friction" within our government.

    I've got the feeling that things only will get worse due to the "ego" tripping by the GOP.

    Yes, it only gets worse; I had an large article on my "in-box" which says that things here are only getting worse, instead of better. Sorry, but there are dangerous games being played in Washington. Don't forget Santis is even worse than Trump.

    Biden is asleep at his age and Pelosi is gone; Bloomberg hates "shit" and does not want to dive into it . Sorry but who will be the "best" Dem's candidate to run against the GOP mafia and can "win"? I haven't seen any yet.

    Heather's letter from last night shows how today's GOP is exactly the opposite of what is used to be.

    Since McCarthy's clowns are not serious about governing, very few bills will actually get passed by the House. If some crazy bill gets passed, it would never make it through the Senate, since the adults are still in charge there. In addition, Biden will simply veto anything that is truly stupid.

    Yes, I just wonder how things will look like 8 month from now. I bet nothing but "infighting" and "chaos".

    I'm afraid that together with what is happening worldwide as well the Ukraine, that we are running towards WWIII.

    I guess the "human ants" here will always find ways to ruin their own lives with all the tools which they can find and invent to make this happen. It must be in their "gene's to want "wars" and "power" over the other "ants" . But yeah the "universe" does not care and continues as always even without these "ants". It seems that "humans" stay in the "cycle" of war and peace, because of inbred "greed"and being "power hungry". How come that in the "cycle" that always the dumb ass ants get to the "top" and ruin the world. Such as the Hitlers, Mussolini, Stalin, Putin, Chi, etc and now an world order which can't be maintained in an world which is changing as well the "climate" and "deceases" which makes it harder to "live" as human ants. Dangerous elements such as an deSantis and others worldwide drive to the top and could cause WWWIII.

    The latest on the the Santos clown. He seems to be an "cross dresser" thus wears women's clothes as well. But yeah the "lying" part is of course even worse. The GOP closes their eyes and act as "ignorant asses".

    Kind of strange that the government does not seem to "screen" their candidates at all; Trump is an living proof of this.

    No wonder every day it is "chaos" here.

    Biden shows his real "colors". He does "nothing" at all and the "obstruction" and B.S. just continues as before. "Santos" is not removed at all either. The GOP is too busy to dig up dirt on the Biden family to instead deal with the present problems of this country. How about the "Banks", the Ukraine help, Abortion shit, The Deficit, the Covid end game, The Budget, Drone incident, International issues, etc.

    Sorry but it is time we get some strong action in this country and "steer" it again in the right direction.

    However I fear that Biden stays an "weak church disciple" who "shakes off" all the issues this country is faced with.

    Therefore 2024 will determine if this country stays "democratic" or follows the Russia "model" of governing.

    WAKE UP AMERICA, before it is too late. We may become "isolated" from the rest of the world while Russia and China will dictate on how the world (including us) should "dance" to their terms.
