    As one of our D hub members suggested a while back in a different thread, if the crowd becomes unruly, the national guard could take out a few with a few shots, and that would make the whackjobs retreat.

    This is insane. I said on Jan. 6 that 200+ should have been shot by law enforcement. Our freaking Govt. Was attacked and that's acceptable 0% of the time. It was a crazy event because they were still in charge and they organized the insane Hate fest.

    Yes were are the brains. like you and I said place some "water cannons on strategic places" and tear gas, then you don't need guns or lots of guards. At least in Europe or elsewhere it has proven to be effective. But yeah the "stubborn idiots here" know everything better and rather defend themselves with "words" and uniforms only.

    Yah, that would probably be the first time I approved of police violence. Police know what to expect from these"Rally Types" now sooo... if the Qtards, KKKlucks and right-wing nutters still want a do-over, if they get past the water cannons and gas, Open up with a double police line armed with street-sweeper shotguns loaded with rubber projectiles.     After he's convicted, just think what an attraction it would be to put Trump in a Zoo. Maybe once a week or so in like a Gorrila environment. Free out in the glorious sunshine like the Gitmo detainees! Use the money to pay back all the people he's suckered over a lifetime of grifting. I'd wait in line... I'd pay at least $50.00 for a glimpse of that. I'd pay an extra $25.00 to watch chimps throw poo at him.

    Yes I think that a lot of people think the same way, however "fanatics" can't be cured and keep undermining an "society" they don't want. The "main" problem is here are the awful "loose" undefined laws (which are manipulated all the way) here which gives these types the "freedom" to do as they like. Also the ridiculous "freedom of the press" here puts lots of fuel on the fire. As long as the system stays as it is, and is allowed to "hollow out" democracy, forget an normal functioning society. The "system" here knows no "limits" on how far you can go; the "elections" here are fully undermined by "money" from certain groups who infiltrated certain sections in the government via certain money providers who again may get their "money" from the "outside" from certain countries who don't like us and want to get the "say" in the world.

    Due to the fact of the awful "mental" state of this country, because of having no "discipline" in anything as well "everything" can be "bought" and the lack or wrong or no "mental" education but lots of "indoctrination", then the ship becomes rudderless.

    I could and might pretend to have the answers and methods to an ideal society. It will soon be obvious I don't have solutions. Perhaps the bottom line is to realize and appreciate what we do have, consider methods to make it better... Society disintegrating is not a pretty thing unless that society is evil or becomes evil. Who determines or interprets what is good and bad? We should listen to reasonable men and women.

    On occasion groups and individuals pop up who are bad seeds, cancers whose purpose is to destroy and proliferate, cancer stifles, kills and replaces functional cells in the body eventually leading to the demise of the body. Medicine calls for the radical removal of cancerous cells from the body. These cancerous elements need to be sequestered, destroyed or somehow reeducated to serve a functional purpose. I don't have a solution aside from incarceration and the USA already has prisons full of people unable, unwilling, and incapable of functioning in society.

    Have Trump cash out his corrupt enterprises and buy land in La-La land Liberia, or nearby, where his cult people can have orgies of trump love, practice trumpwar firing actual live rounds at each other, let them practice trumpreligion while awaiting TrumpJesus and have the ark man build arks to keep them safe during the upcoming trump apocalypse.

    The press has been challenged and threatened by social media.     History is full of recapitulation...Similar/same dynamics that provoke similar actions and reactions. ". Societies have or are waiting for the big Kahuna, the savior, the avatar to arrive and bring peace and harmony, to unite shattered humanity.

    By now we know that a savior is not really going to come, to happen. Yah go ahead a pray but it is an exercise in futility. There will always be some segment of society or human being that will rise up, rail against and try to derail even a semi functional society.     I guess this "crew" on this ship has not studied what an "rudder" is and how it works; they rather return to the "stone age" with their "cellphones glued" to their ears. I guess it is time for an"new" Alice in Wonderland movie. All I found at the pawn shop was an pair of slippers worn by Jesus (guaranteed by the Jewish shop owner), with some Dead Sea algea still on it; the price was 5 bucks. But rather too expensive, because it was not my size and smelled like camel dung. Hallejuja praise the "whatever". I'll stick to my Mohammed worn out camel hair snow boots. Haha.

    I don't know! Bring extra lol! I was just musing on possibilities. No one from the pentagon or Secret Service has called me to consult yet! Trump's gatherings of late have been expecting 10's of thousands but only a scant few hundred have shown up. The government has been studying the use of non-lethal weapons for years. The right wants to spark civil war! We'll all wait and see what happens.

    I imagine that there is quite a bit of pent-up payback lurking in those who are in charge of defending the Capital. The authorities have an idea of what could happen so they ought to plan accordingly. Trump's Jive Republican Monkeys won't be able to throw a wrench into it as they did last time e.g. stalling effective response. If the neocon extremists want to die or spend years imprisoned, they know what to do. Their choice...like playing chicken with Covid...Might survive 2.0, Might not. No doubt there is a lot of active surveillance at this moment.

    White Nationalists are high on the list of terrorists, domestic or otherwise. If push comes to shove, will the govt act as if they/we are being attacked by a potential mob of Timothy McVeigh's or will they be treated as "casual tourists/protestors"? White seperatists groups already have Ruby Ridge, Waco, McVeigh and ? under their belt as martyers for the cause. The 3 letter agencies haven't demonstrated the most diplomatic solutions to those incidents. Anything could happen, or close to nothing could happen. Whatever transpires, we here are not the shot callers. We should all be aware White Nationalists, some to many, in the form of Republicans, have made it clear they will pull any trick in the book. It doesn't matter how stupid, diabolical, illegal or insane their rationale is, they want to seize power and consolidate their agendas to dominate the country.     Dock, how come that the White House and all our Embassy's are much more protected than the Capitol? There should be changes made such way, that it is not as easy to "break in" as was the case on January 6th. Looking at the doors and windows, make these more "solid" and "break proof" with solid locks on them. Water cannons work if you place these such way that they can make sure that no one comes even close to any entrances. The wire fences which they erected are way to weak to stop them. Thus "electrify " them with at least 360 volts. ha ha. Also the stupidity is that such building has such wide expanse of area around it; way too easy access. So why don't they built and permanent "wall" and solid "gate with guards around it. I bet that in the future we get more and more indoctrinated "idiots" running around with more and more lethal weapons which you get here with the cornflakes. Don't forget we are also importing lots of "Taliban" raised figures; that will only expand the craziness here.

    I still don't know. However, DHS estimates 700. The original 01-06-21 event is said to have had 10k. Oh, I read this on NBC site but am too lazy to quote it at the moment.

    The wild card is that other similar events are scheduled in various cities. So some Nazi, Trumpistanian sheit could break out anywhere.

    It's important to sincerely attempt not to shed blood IMO. My thoughts, from the virtual peanut gallery, have been focused on non-lethal measures. There will be many regrets, consequences for bloodshed. Violent blowback from the far right is imminent if this descends into savagery. Many have already died in the resurgence of Radical White Power racism spurred on by the farcical presidency of Trump and the Neo-cons in congress.

    Matt Braynard, the organizer behind the rally and a former Trump campaign staffer, asked attendees in a tweet on Tuesday not to display any symbols that are supportive of former President Trump or President Biden, contending the demonstration is “100% about #JusticeforJ6 and not the election or any candidate.” Hill

    The above statement is more signaling by the right that they are presuming to be the ones who determine what justice is and who will administrate it. Justice for June 6th is already in progress by the proper entities in our democracy! These deluded right-wingers are showing their contempt for law and order and those who administer it. The 01-06 events were violent and vicious demonstrations of that contempt. They are asserting they have the privilege to usurp the laws we all abide by and depend on. The sophistry of right-wing events is a red herring, a ploy to overthrow the government. It was and remains an attempted insurrection! Participants in this phony protest are begging to jump from the frying pan and into the fire as surely more will be arrested.

    The stupidity of the whole thing is astounding. Trump lost! The vote was legitimate! Dems don't drink the blood of children nor operate a pedophile sex trafficking ring! Dems are not cannibals or Satanic! Michelle Obama is a woman! Barak Obama is not a Muslim nor was he born in Africa. The list of scurrilous lies and false conspiracy theories of the right is seemingly endless and juvenile.

    On occasion, I use a bit of satire when commenting here in an attempt to bring humor to the whole ridiculous and sad series of events. The premises of the right are serious attacks and outrageously stupid attempts to steal power and cheat democracy and not much more.

    The Republicans, at this point, are a bunch of scheming, spoiled, disingenuous, privileged, and nasty bullies who will and have gone to egregious lengths to obscure and obstruct justice to get their way! We can only hope the justice system will prevail in holding accountable the Republicans and Trump. The Republicans and their minions need to be corrected in a meaningful way.

    I'm going off-topic for a couple of minutes but will catch up after the short, but worthwhile video below.

    Dutch often laments about the lack of culture in Amerika. This video below demonstrates the depth, beauty, and soaring majesty of American culture. As well, the clip demonstrates similarly, by proxy, the sophistication of some of our Aristocratic Congresspeople. After the Capital Police put their lives on the line, the Royal Republican Congresspeople, turned up their noses and then turned their backs and would not support their "literal" saviors, the Police! You may think that Donald Trump and Ronald Raygun are featured in the video but they are not.

    So as not to be outdone by the wonderous display of Amerikona you witnessed in the video. The TrUMP Republicans will put on their own performance at a Washington DC. rally this weekend.

    The so-called “Justice for J6” rally, organized by former Donald Trump campaign operative Matt Braynard and his group Look Ahead America, is meant to show support for the violent mob that overran the Capitol eight months ago. Five people died in that riot, and hundreds more were injured, many of them police. Since then, hundreds of arrests have been made, and federal officials are still searching for more suspects.

    As mentioned above, the rally is organized by Trump's cohort. This, IMO, is an effort by the Trump camp to minimize the weight of his personal culpability in the insurrection coup attempt and less about the claims that those arrested are being unfairly portrayed as enemies of the state, which they are (enemies of the state). Trump has demonstrated many times his disregard for his supporters but does patronize them as he depends on and cultivates these deluded but useful idiots. Those right-wing extremist groups seem less inclined to participate than previously. (Maybe they're catching on finally?) Trump's ongoing investigations and upcoming indictments have his spin and propaganda machine feverishly working to distance him from the "Just Comeuppance Due" stemming from his attempted coup.

    Jared Holt, a research fellow at the Atlantic Council’s Digital Forensic Research Lab who tracks far-right extremism on the internet, told HuffPost there hasn’t been much chatter in online extremist circles in favor of attending the event.

    “A lot of these groups seem to be pretty clear with their members that they shouldn’t go to this thing on Saturday, and that by doing so [they] could end up putting their members who are still facing trial for their role in January 6 into a more precarious legal situation,” Holt said. “From everything I can tell, that consensus has been heard and people have the intention of obeying them.”

    That includes members of groups like the Proud Boys and the Oath Keepers. As Holt points out on his Substack, far-right figures including Gab CEO Andrew Torba and [Ultra Creepy] QAnon conspiracy leader Ron Watkins have also encouraged their followers not to attend, for fear of ? as Torba put it ? becoming “a political prisoner of the state.”

    Who knows what will happen?!? Some other right-wing extremists or groups might execute a violent agenda to make a name for themselves and get news coverage. No doubt the "Domestic White Christian Terrorist Fear Lamp" has been lit in the public mind and is being utilized in this phony theatre by Trump's "Look Ahead America" group.

    In addition to the immediate concerns over violence, there are fears that Saturday’s rally will help to normalize one of the most egregious acts of domestic political violence in modern American history, and raise the already high temperature at demonstrations across the country. [It was and remains nothing short of failed "coup d'etat" - a sudden decisive exercise of force in politics especially : the violent overthrow or alteration of an existing government by a small group.]

    “Matt Braynard and his organizers are going to get access to a megaphone to the nation that they have been completely unable to obtain on their own merits,” Holt said. “Braynard’s ultimate goal with Look Ahead America is to rewrite the history of January 6, and I worry that in the interest of ‘fair coverage’ that outlets are going to end up airing part of his revisionist history.”

    House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) on Wednesday condemned anyone willing to attend this weekend’s rally, characterizing them as “coming back to praise the people who were out to kill.”

    Metropolitan Police Officer Michael Fanone, one of more than 140 police officers injured in the attacks earlier this year, told The Daily Beast he was “shocked but not surprised” that there’d be another rally.

    This turned out OK for the goodguys. As for LEO preparation, an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. Unfortunately, I haven't often been able to put cops in the Good Guy category.

    Members of the media and law enforcement outnumbered the far-right insurrectionist supporters who showed up near the Capitol on Saturday to protest the hundreds of arrests that have been made in connection with the Jan. 6 riot that is linked to the deaths of five people and the injury of more than 140 law enforcement officers.

    The organizer for the “Justice for J6” rally, former Donald Trump campaign operative Matt Braynard, had previously said he expected up to 700 people to show up for the rally. Instead, it appeared that fewer than 100 people showed up to protest the arrests of Capitol attackers. The rally wrapped up by about 2 p.m. local time.

    The event is characterized as a "Trap" and "Bait" by the far-right extremists that this BS gathering was supposed to support/Lionize. What was the Bait? Another opportunity to demonstrate their criminal and treasonous delusions of grandeur? Was Mike Pence there to be their demon whipping boy of choice? They all need some time in both criminal and psychiatric facilities.
