What do you think Pence will do?

Tomorrow, as VP, Mike Pence will proceed over the validation of the electoral votes. According to what I have read\heard so far, he has no power to reject any electoral votes. However, that doesn't mean can't claim that he does have the power to reject votes, and then do so. If he did so, such a challenge would go immediately to the SC for them to decide. Its unlikely Pence will push it that far, but he will be doing something to make Donald Trump happy.

What do you think Pence is going to do?

Mike Pence will tremble in fear because all of the intelligent people acknowledged that Ceremonial is the proper description for his task. Now if he wants to yell and scream to protest, he can do so. It doesn't change the election results. It has belittled many politicians who embarrassed themselves. Hopefully it will be clearly noted when they too run for reelection.

Many think he has no plan B. A national takeover probably hasn't been ruled out. Biden needs full access to intelligence briefings to be advised.

And it likely will be a lot shocking discoveries once Joe biden does get to read them.

The only people left around Trump are the crazy ones. Others who have left, such as politically corrupt Bill Barr, were never 100% loyal; they've always had an emergency exit plan, and they put their individual plans into action a few days after Trump lost the election.

Those who remain in the WH bunker are the far right fringe crazy nut jobs (aka Steven miller and RG) who have been suggesting to Trump some very crazy\scary options he still can execute to remain in power, which will seem rational and logical to Trump because "Crazy" is what is normal to him, it is what he likes. Trump is akin to an arsonist who burns down things just to watch them be destroyed.

As Donald Trump tweeted during the early morning hours today (Jan 6th,2021) he expects Pence to declare the electoral votes to be invalid even if Pence has no power to change the results. Then, in theory after Pence's declaration invalidating the election Trump could point to Pence's decision as being a lawful action because Pence did it. It just becomes a comical illogical argument. Like in Bob Woodward's book Rage, its Alice in Wonderland insanity, and we have gone down the rabbit hole: "If you don't know where you're going, any direction will get you there"

Pence backed down and did not go along with Trumps demand that he throw out the electoral votes. Trump tweeted that Pence lacked the courage to stand behind Trump.

"Mike Pence didn’t have the courage to do what should have been done to protect our Country and our Constitution, giving States a chance to certify a corrected set of facts, not the fraudulent or inaccurate ones which they were asked to previously certify. USA demands the truth!"

... so Trump then gave the green light for his supporters to storm congress. In Trump World, he and his supporters sees this as a remake of American Revolution, so "Whatever it takes" means exactly that, take whatever action that is required to stay in power.

OK, since these two plans have failed pretty badly and quickly, He has two more weeks to implement other more radical options.

Pence backed down probably because he knew siding w/ his boss was either the wrong thing to do, or, he finally realized the whole world was watching, and he didn't want to make the mistake of being part of Trump's coup or insurrection attempts.

We could look at Pence as being a victim of circumstance, what was he to do? Stick it out, stay as VP, or, resign? Like many other republicans who didn't act or say anything about Trump's previous actions, they were fit to be tied, once the insurrection began. History will remember how republicans remained silent through Trump's 4 years, but people will forget how bad things really went south.

Supposedly, according to msm, 4 were killed, and 50 + or - were arrested. That's a small number of arrests. How are authorities going to secure the inauguration with the rest of these kinds of people running around DC with firearms and other weapons? How do they protect? IMHO, I don't think it should be an outdoor event as planned, I believe it should be virtual and shown on screens like there are in football and baseball stadiums to prevent physical attacks.

Pence will probably choke. He ain't got the guts to go after his boss. He's got a yellow streak a mile wide down his back.
