Can Trump control the GOP for another 4 years, and run again in 2024

In recent days Trump has been floating the idea of running again in 2024 with the claim that only reason he lost in 2020 was because of voter fraud and other conspiracy theories. The suggestion is that the Trump movement within the GOP is long term, and that movement is about giving Donald Trump and his family full control over the GOP. He would decided the GOP platform and nobody can run for as GOP candidate without his approval. Basically the GOP would be transformed into "The Authorization Party of Donald Trump" with an indirect agenda of having the GOP take 100% political and legal control of the US government.

Could someone as dumb and inept Donald Trump pull it off?

I don't think he will have enough sway to do that in four years. However Trump will continue to have some influence in the GOP for years to come. That could spell trouble for lots of Republican politicians. Moreover Trump and his brand will enable a certain kind of divisive extremist politics in the party for years to come. The fact is if voters liked this guy enough to nearly reelect him others will surely follow.

wwjd and center left; the only way to prevent such as well in the future, is to make "10 year tax returns" MANDATORY" right now. Certainly Trump won't hand them over so he likely can't run. Also it prevents other idiots from running who fooled around like Trump. I guess this should be one of the first tasks for Biden, if he's too stupid as all previous Presidents not to implement such, then I wish him luck.

The short answer is yes. The longer answer is that his health may work against him personally. I think that his offspring are poor copies of him much like Falwell, Jr and Franklin Graham. They lack trump’s ability to spew bullshit and be convincing to the base. Trump was a blatant racist while being mentally ill. I doubt the punks are capable of presenting the same image.

As for the party? It is full blown racist. The current wielders of the levers of power will be under the thumb of Trump and his base until he dies.

Not to worry lonely, they'll receive indoctrination on how to be crooks and liars by the likes of people like Steve Bannon, and other groups of felons.
