    It makes no sense to push gun control. We have support that is ours to throw away by pushing gun control before the election. We already have all the support for gun control. The election is now ours to lose by pushing gun control before the election.
    Bill Clinton was riding high until he banned assault weapons. That ban cost him both houses and took the election from Gore. Win this election first.

    I have heard nobody discussing gun control. An important yet devisive issue that needs approached cautiously. If Democrats are smart they won't allow R's to add that to their infinite list for fear mongering. Discuss health care and the fact that the other side have had ZERO ideas. Employment, clean air and water, climate, military strength (though changes are needed), immigration, trade, civil rights and various other key things that would help Americans. Gun control should be discussed on November 15th. Not before.

    HR5717 is sitting there. Trump is going to bring up any and everything. I hope Biden’s people are defending against worse case scenario subjects.

    First of all this should not be an election item; the selection of any President should be about the "qualities" and "knowledge" and "mental health" of the person to be elected. Is the person able to run such diverse country with thousands of problems which have to be resolved as well an "law" system and governing system which is broken, then "priorities should be well defined. I get the feeling that none of the above is done, So I believe the "chaos" and "corruption" will continue as always in this country, if you select Presidents who are unable to do this difficult job. It is the "election process" as well the "electoral college" which stand in the way of getting the right person for the job. Thus I wish this country loads of success. Amen

    Right Dutch, And same goes for environmental issues. Zero carbon and electric vehicles will in the short term cause job losses. Trump is not the candidate to propose anything that appeals to the conscious or intellect. He just this past weekend came out publicly against fair housing. He even used the traditional racist argument that fair Housing will ruin neighborhoods. As I said during the campaign that confrontational and opposition arguments build and reinforce support for Trump. Over a hundred thousand people have died because Trump tried to bolster the economy. He sent storm troopers into Portland. A reasonable campaign against Sociopathic Dictatorial Oliogarthic Trump is impossible.

    HR5717 has a good chance of giving Trump the election. If the numbers against Trump are getting higher remember this. Those numbers come from people that loved and still do love Trump but are forced by peer pressure to agree that Trump is a dump. Radical supporters don't change that easily.

    Trump held an speech about gun violence and therefore ordered the "Gestapo" into Chicago. However forgetting that he's an "honary member of the NRA, but actually "gun" control should be the solution, not the Gestapo or the NRA.. This guy is absolutely "crazy" and loves the NRA. So how are you going to stop the killing in this country? Forget it, the "killing" will continue as long as Trump and the NRA love each other and are allowed to do their "crimes".

    Sorry I repeat: It says nowhere in the "second amendment" that you as "citizen" can own an gun , only militia can (who don't exist here anymore), let alone own an AR15 or an AK 47 with lots of "rounds". Sick country and sick lawyers.
