Rubio: Companies are having trouble rehiring because lazy workers make more on unemployment

Sen. Marco Rubio appeared on Fox & Friends the other day to workshop some stupid shit he wanted to say. Brian Kilmeade, who has long been Stupid Shit’s earthly avatar, was happy to oblige him.

B.S. typical Rubio; at present you can't judge such (dumb ass Republican); due to the fact nothing is fully open nor the owners of certain industries don't even know if they can afford to pay these people. Once everything is settled (which may take years) then may be the employment figures will rise again.

I understand why Congress had to add an additional $600 a week to unemployment benefits.

The $1200 check that most of us got was not enough to spur much spending, since all it really covered was the equivalent of one month's rent for most people.

Since I work as a substitute teacher, I'm also losing a ton of money due to the fact that schools are closed for the rest of the school year. As a result, I applied for (and was approved for) unemployment compensation. I received my first deposit into my card last Tuesday, and it was for $840. Since I would normally gross $500 a week if I were still working as a sub, I understand why people are not anxious to return to work.

Arizona's maximum benefit is $240 a week, which is not enough to even cover bare necessities. The additional $600 a week will allow people to start spending again. In my case, I think that I'll splurge for a bottle of Grey Goose sometime this coming week.
