In Florida, the pandemic is worse that it has ever been.

More people in Florida are catching the coronavirus, being hospitalized and dying of Covid-19 now than at any previous point in the pandemic, underscoring the perils of limiting public health measures as the Delta variant rips through the state.

This week, 227 virus deaths were being reported each day in Florida, on average, as of Tuesday, a record for the state and by far the most in the United States right now. The average for new known cases reached 23,314 a day on the weekend, 30 percent higher than the state’s previous peak in January, according to a New York Times database. Across the country, new deaths have climbed to more than 1,000 a day, on average.

Ron DeSantis is said to be the future of the Republican party, but I doubt it.

Although a number of factors contributed to Trump's loss in 2020, I'm of the opinion that his incompetence in dealing with COVID-19 was the major reason why many people did not vote for him.

The coronavirus is having affects that we normally don't think about.

The global shortage of computer chips is getting worse, forcing automakers to temporarily close factories including those that build popular pickup trucks.

General Motors announced Thursday that it would pause production at seven North American plants during the next two weeks, including two that make the company's top-selling Chevrolet Silverado pickup.

Ford will stop making pickups at its Kansas City Assembly Plant for the next two weeks. Shifts will be cut at two more truck plants in Dearborn, Michigan, and Louisville, Kentucky.

"These most recent scheduling adjustments are being driven by the continued parts shortages caused by semiconductor supply constraints from international markets experiencing COVID-19-related restrictions," GM said in a statement.

Industry analysts say the delta variant of the novel coronavirus has hit employees at chip factories in southeast Asia hard, forcing some plants to close. That's worsened a chip shortage that was starting to improve earlier in the summer.

One affect that we ARE familiar with is a pending shortage of toilet paper, which we all experienced in march of 2020,

Rule of thumb applies here, when or if in doubt, wear your masks proudly and properly.

I love watching Trae Crowder. Good common sense. Short segment of the truth.

Sorry to say this is the result if you put "idiots" on certain positions. The "cause" is the "system" which is completely "ruined" due to not having proper uniform well thought of "laws" which can not be manipulated by a "zillion" corrupt lawyers. Furthermore an "decease." as the Republicans have become should not be possible if the "screening" for these "types" is not done the way it should. I strongly believe that especially in FL and TX everything related to "electing" these types is done corruptly. It never should be possible to get these types into our government as well all the GOP idiots right now. Also the crazy deal in CA is absurd and corrupt to throw the Governor under the bus. Yes this country is loosing all "normalcy" and is going "downhill"because of it.

A Nevada school board member said he had thoughts of suicide before stepping down amid threats and harassment. In Virginia, a board member resigned over what she saw as politics driving decisions on masks. The vitriol at board meetings in Wisconsin had one member fearing he would find his tires slashed.

School board members are largely unpaid volunteers, traditionally former educators and parents who step forward to shape school policy, choose a superintendent and review the budget. But a growing number are resigning or questioning their willingness to serve as meetings have devolved into shouting contests between deeply political constituencies over how racial issues are taught, masks in schools, and COVID-19 vaccines and testing requirements.

Police have been called to intervene in places including Vail, Arizona, where parents protesting a mask mandate pushed their way into a board room in April, and in Mesa County, Colorado, where Doug Levinson was among school board members escorted to their cars by officers who had been unable to de-escalate a raucous Aug. 17 meeting. “Why am I doing this?” Levinson asked himself.

Biden finally has an tiny bit bit of guts and has an "plan" but it will not work, by saying that only companies with over an 100 personnel/workers have to comply with vaccination rules. Totally forgetting that there are millions more of smaller companies than the larger one's. Their combined employee's are likely an much larger group than companies with 100 or more employee's. So also the smaller companies contain likely "restaurants" and the "service industry" getting more contacts with people than the larger one's. So again an total stupidity which likely won't change anything at all. Where are the brains? The spread of the Covid just continues unbridled, as long as there is no "uniform" plan is applied/mandatory and being the same for EVERYBODY.

Despite the mound of evidence that shows that getting vaccinated and wearing a mask are the best ways to avoid getting COVID, there are still far too many people who are not convinced.

When I bought my lotto tickets this morning, the car below was parked outside. From these pictures, I can draw a number of conclusions:

1)The owner is not wealthy (he just bought a 14 year old car)

    2) The owner is not smart (as evidenced by the writing on the windows

    3) the owner is not a Democrat (same as above)

    4) There is a strong likelihood that the owner watch the FOX channel (same )

    5) you just can't fix stupid

Since the pictures did not work, here is what they said:

    On the back window:

    Unmasked

    Unvaccinated

    Unafraid

    On the left read window:

    F ck Biden

On the right side of the car:

    This is war!

    Court Martial Biden

I just wonder where these "types" went to school on this "island" , likely they even"flunked" Kindergarten. I guess DeVos has now enough money to have an"royal" pension. Sorry to say if an FOX and other nutty "media" runs the "education" here, then forget any "normalcy" in this country. It is time to put limits on what the "media" can spew all day. Anyway as long as there are no "curbs" on our so called "freedoms" forget this country as being or getting "stable" ever.

How far can an country sink? Lots of Empires used "religion" as an"tool" to get power and "kneeled" for their "masters". But Yeah, all these Empires are now only in the "history books". I just wonder if "Jesus Trump" can walk on water . I would love to see what happens over a "hundred years"; may be just like Egypt is now.
