Despite the fact that Maricopa county instituted a mandatory mask policy recently, Trump put on a rally at a 3000 seat church in Phoenix AFTER the rule went into effect. Needless to say, very few people in the audience word a mask.
Arizona Attorney General Mark Brnovich sent a cease and desist letter to Glendale-based Clean Air EXP and Dream City Church for their claims suggesting an air purification system neutralizes COVID-19.
The Attorney General's Office alleges that Clean Air EXP continues to advertise that its air filtration products neutralize 99.9% of viruses that are "COVID-19 surrogates," according to a Friday morning press release.
Previous representations on the company's website suggested that its filtration systems would "neutralize 99.9% of 'coronavirus,' when in fact this was based on testing of coronavirus 229E, a virus which causes the common cold," the press release said.
As further proof that you just can't fix stupid, Mike Pence had planned a campaign event in my home town this coming Tuesday - but wisely scrapped the as the state's COVID-19 cases soar past 70,000 and ventilator and ICU bed use again hit record highs.
With the crisis unfolding in Sunbelt states, Pence is still traveling to Texas, Arizona and Florida this week to meet with governors and their health care teams, the White House confirmed to The Arizona Republic Saturday. ALL OF THESE STATES RE SEEING A SPIKE IN CORONAVIRUS CASES.
Pence was to headline a "Faith in America" event in Tucson before that portion of his itinerary was scrapped. The decision came after Pence on Friday defended holding campaign rallies amid a deadly pandemic, during an election year.

Officials with the campaign did not immediately respond to The Arizona Republic's request for comment. That event was intended to court voters of faith for the Republican ticket in the solidly-Democratic Pima County.
