First of all an "prayer" breakfast is ridiculous, then on top of that make it political. How low can an "dictator" sink?

Too bad that no one is "up there" to eradicate these type of people; but yeah they hopefully eradicate themselves as Pelosi says.

I just wonder how long this circus will last; if he gets re-elected then I fear we will hit the iceberg.

Here's another reason that I'd love to punch this guy in the face:

After Trump's acquittal, the Republican Party has gotten even crazier.

Romney's vote robbed Trump of a pure party-line vote, which would have enabled him to argue that impeachment was a partisan “witch hunt.” Trump surrogates found a way around that problem quickly: they simply said that Romney wasn’t a Republican. Donald Trump Jr. called Romney a “pussy” and tweeted that Romney is “now officially a member of the resistance & should be expelled from the GOP.” On her show on the Fox News Channel, Laura Ingraham said Romney should resign because he “committed a fraud on the people of Utah, on the Republican Party, on the Constitution.”

Stephanie Grisham, the White House press secretary, asked about Adam Schiff, who led the impeachment effort: “Will there be no retribution?

Representative Matt Gaetz (R-FL) announced that he is filing an ethics complaint against Pelosi. He claims she might have violated the law against mutilating a government record. “Nobody is above the law,” he tweeted. “She must be held accountable.”

Irony is apparently lost on Mr. Gaetz.

Yesterday afternoon, Republican Senators Chuck Grassley of Iowa and Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Chair Ron Johnson (R-WI) began an investigation into Hunter Biden.

Trump's speech at noon today is likely to be a repeat of his conversation this morning at the prayer breakfast.

As I've said before; "downhill" in an hurry ; the "captain" and his "mafia" clan is having so much fun and intoxicated that they likely do not see the "iceberg" in the near distance. Amen

Trump's performance at noon today was true to form:

“It was evil,” Mr. Trump told the roomful of supporters from Congress and his administration in a long, rambling, stream-of-consciousness talk, tossing aside the text that had been so carefully prepared for him by his staff. “

It was a marked contrast to Bill Clinton's speech after his impeachment.

On the day he was cleared of charges of perjury and obstruction of justice, Mr. Clinton appeared alone in the Rose Garden, avoided any gloating, apologized for his part in leading to the conflict and called for reconciliation.

It is so depressing but predictable. The sociopathic, narcissistic president now "can do whatever he wants". He will go after everyone using the Barr Justice Department. He wants vengeance. There are no adults in the room to rein in this monster. The Senate Republicans cower is his presence. He owns the Supreme Court. He owns Mitch McConnell. He doesn't own Nancy Pelosi, but she better watch her backside.

Read all my threads; I predicted all of that; The "idiot" got raised that way by his KKK daddy who made him an spoiled brad who always got what he wanted. That is why our election system needs an drastic reform. Pre-screening should be mandatory, especially how such candidate was raised and with "what" parents. But yeah, if Hitler was born here he could become President in no time. If you look at the total picture of what is happening now, then it means that the "system" here is broken all the way and is "asking" for an dictatorship; the "impeachment circus" showed clearly that our laws need an drastic revamp. Do the people in this country really want an Putin type as leader? So either do something about the "limits" of an President and others in government, or accept the consequences.

Mike Luckovish reminded us this morning that acquittal is not the same as "exonerated", nor does it mean "not guilty", which is what most of us felt about the O.J. Simpson case.

If you have read the Mueller report, it is also cleat that Mueller did NOT say that Trump was exonerated.

During a brief discussion about Trump’s disgraceful State of the Union Address, Lou Dobbs literally ignored all of the accomplishments several presidents have made to improve the lives of African Americans over the last 100 years to slather praise on Trump like a typical hype man.

He said that Trump has done more for African Americans in this country since Abraham Lincoln. Needless to say, Trump liked what he heard so much that he directly quoted Dobbs on social media.

A recent poll found that 53% of the Republicans surveyed thought that Trump was a better president than Lincoln.

Trump wants the House to expunge its impeachment vote in the wake of his acquittal "because it was a hoax".

That's never going to happen if Nancy Pelosi is still running the House - but it could if the Republicans regained control in November (possible, but not likely).

The only trial I ever watched that was a complete total f*cking disaster, excepting OJ Simpson, if it doesn't fit, you must acquit.

The lone GOP holdout Romney might be threatened by CPAC, if he attends, they fear for his safety, the GOP mob might want to do bodily harm to him, maybe ordered by Trump....

"On Sunday, one influential conservative went so far as to say he could not be sure of Romney’s safety at a major right-wing gathering, alarming some of the Utah senator’s defenders and — in some critics’ eyes — crossing a line from outrage to threat."

Today, Robert O'Brien (our SIXTH National Security adviser) defended the administration. Speaking at the Atlantic Council think tank, Robert O’Brien argued that America would be a banana republic if the administration had not retaliated against Lt. Cols. Alexander and Yevgeny Vindman.

“We’re not a country where a bunch of lieutenant colonels can get together and decide what the policy is of the United States,” O’Brien argued. “We are not a banana republic.”

    What a crock of shit.

However, he DID speak one truth.

We ARE a banana republic, and Trump's meddling in the Roger Stone case is further proof of that.
