Hurricane Dorian

All the media (don't know about Fox News) are covering Trump's fixation on "I was right" when he said Alabama was in the path of the hurricane...a 95 percent chance of getting a direct hit. That is an outright lie. Now he's even got his Homeland Security advisor, Rear Admiral Peter Brown to lie for him by issuing a lengthy statement that Alabama had a "possibility of tropical force winds". That is reminiscent of Trump's claim as to the size of his inaugural address when Sean Spicer came out and lied to reporters, calling it the biggest crowd ever...Period!

Trump cancelled his trip to Poland to "be in charge" of the Hurricane Dorian efforts. He even held a photo op showing him at his White House desk making calls to the Bahamas and states on the hurricane impact or status. But in truth he spent most of the time golfing, and when not golfing he was watching TV and Tweeting, not about the horrific damage being done by the hurricane but rather about being right about Alabama and calling out "Fake News". I suppose it is possible that he had no idea where the storm was going after Thursday, one week ago because he wasn't interested...just out golfing. As many have observed, Trump's attention span is extremely is his grasp of geography.

As biographer, Tim O'Brien said: “He’s doubling down on the worst sides of his troubled personality — to never admit an error and to continue obsessing about it, and emphasizing it, when it doesn’t serve him well to do so,” he said. “He doesn’t move along because he is incapable of moving along.”

Meanwhile, Dorian is hammering the Carolinas and Trump is still fixated on Alabama. That is sick.

I guess he can't help it that he's mental. But the stupid people who did not "VET" him as well elected him, should have known better. Let alone that the GOP lost all their brains. This country itself is guilty as hell by not changing the system and make it more honest and educate the people here. Amen.

According to the Washington Post, Trump's insistence that his incorrect Alabama was correct tips into the Orwellian.

In the book, 1984, the government said that the truth is whatever the government says it is.

George Orwell would be horrified by Trump.

Trump's alteration of the map to show the storm going to Alabama is being called "Sharpiegate. He is obviously unaware that it is a federal crime to alter weather reports. Specifically, falsifying a weather report is illegal under 18 U.S. Code section 2074—with a punishment of up to 90 days imprisonment, a fine, or both.

Townhall was started by the Heritage Foundation in 1995 as a conservative print magazine, and they eventually added an online publication called the Townhall Daily, which I get every day in my inbox.

I usually at least skim the headlines to see what wacky ideas they come up with. On occasion, I'll read the entire article, which REALLY confirms the fact that the writers are living in a different planetary system than we are.

Here is today's headline about the hurricane:

"NOAA delivers the death blow to the liberal media over Trump's Hurricane Dorian map controversy".

The author is a guy named Matt Vespa:

Matt Vespa is the Senior Editor at He previously worked for and was the recipient of Americans for Prosperity Foundation's 2013 Andrew Breitbart Award for Excellence in Online Activism and Investigative Reporting.

According to the Daily Beast, GOP consultant Rick Wilson used Donald Trump’s obsession with maintaining he was correct about Hurricane Dorian hitting Alabama as evidence that he gone completely off the rails and into his reality.

Wilson also noted Trump’s often-expressed desire to stay in office in perpetuity, writing, “Trump’s joking references to a third term are growing in number and intensity, and some part of his rat-nest consciousness is thinking, “I bet I could get away with it.” The 2020 efforts to kill off the Republican primary to clear the field for Trump are a preview. I mean, why bother with elections when there’s so much winning going on? ”

The reason that NOAA put out a statement supporting Trump's belief that they were THREATENED - because that is what mob bosses do.

We just learned that a top NOAA official sent out an agency-wide directive warning staff not to correct Trump’s inaccurate statement on Alabama. A meteorologist blew the whistle:

This is the first time I’ve felt pressure from above to not say what truly is the forecast. It’s hard for me to wrap my head around. One of the things we train on is to dispel inaccurate rumors and ultimately that is what was occurring — ultimately what the Alabama office did is provide a forecast with their tweet, that is what they get paid to do.

The mob boss making the threat to NOAA was none other Wilber Ross, the sycophant in chief. Congress needs to investigate this behavior. The New York Times reports.

The behavior is even worse than that. We've got now just about daily contact with our Dutch friends in Freeport ( Bahama's).

There is nothing left, no power/water/food anything at all. Normally there is an small cruise ship running between Freeport and West Palm for tourists. This company had offered a free trip for the Bahamian people so they could do some shopping for food etc. Guess what did the US customs do? If they had no visa's they were not allowed to shop; furthermore the ship was impounded and locked up. The people on board did not have a choice, except to go back and buy an airline ticket to Nassau; which is not Freeport at all. So how to get from Nassau to Freeport? Thanks to Trump who treats these "shoppers" if they are criminals.

Anyway if Obama would be still President he would have offered help and assistance in this terrible disaster. But of course Trump did not help Puerto Rico, so let alone the Bahama's (an British enclave). At least all the private institutions are helping as much as they can. Trump does not give a shit about his own people, let alone Bahamians. He cares only about himself! The US has changed a lot, but not for the better; however the "world" is watching; it has become an third world country in their eyes.

AOC just reminded us that Trump is treating the Bahama survivors even worst than he treated the people in Puerto Rico:

"For years, Bahamians have been able to come to the United States with a valid passport and printout of a clean police record. Yet as hundreds of climate refugees prepared to depart their devastated homes, they heard a heartbreaking announcement: the policy had changed, and if they didn’t have a visa, they needed to get off the boat.

Remember: the cruelty is the point.

These are people who may have lost everything because of something entirely outside of their control, and Trump has the utter lack of empathy to turn them away. That’s a disgusting betrayal of our values, and a fundamental violation of basic human dignity."

A 7 year old kid in South Carolina, who had planned a trip to Disneyland to celebrate his birthday, just used the money he had saved for the trip to buy food for Dorian evacuees.

Disney noticed, and the company just gave the kid a FREE TRIP to Disneyland.

I chuckled when I read that Trump was selling autographed Sharpie pens for $15, but I was curious as to how many people would be stupid enough to buy one.

    Sadly, a lot.

Since their introduction, the Trump campaign has sold $50,000 worth of the pens. Even worse, the campaign has sold 55,000 packs of plastic straws, netting $823,000 in sales. The campaign’s official website is selling the 10-pack of branded reusable and recyclable straws for $15 per set. The straws reportedly sold out on at least one occasion.
