Today in and record interview with ABC's news, Trump openly says US law is wrong, and its OK for poltical campaigns to accept information from foreign government. If democrats don't like it, that is their problem.

What is revealing about this interview is that Trump wasn't even asked about it, he got on one of his rolls and blunted stated that the head of the FBI was "WRONG!" and that it is OK for campaigns to accept dirt on their componet and not report it to the FBI.

I think Republicans would be extremely nervous about foreign countries passing along their intelligence info to political campaigns. Imagine what information foreign countries have on Donald Trump for the past 35 years of shady business deals and lurid sexual encounters. Most countries hate DT, and would gladly hand over information to the democrats to help get rid of Trump.

Yes that is what you get, if there are no strict laws about the limits of an President. This country still lives in the time that you had Kings and Romanov types with huge gold plated castles and the "people" needed an Robin Hood type to be able to "live". Of course these types love people like Kim and Putin. The only difference is that those are allowed to kill their opponents; Trump would love to do that as well; his sweet sons love to kill innocent protected animals, so what's next?

When is this country going to change the stupid antiquated British style laws and get rid of the zillion partisan lawyers who make it impossible to get solid laws which can't be manipulated. This creates all "talk" but no action.

    I call it "loophole" country.

    wwjd:

What's astonishing about this whole episode is that Trump VOLUNTEERED this idea without even being asked. Your point about foreign governments having "dirt" on Trump is likely very accurate as well.

Most of us would consider coordinating with a foreign government to be treason, but the prohibition actually goes back a LOT further.

The Logan Act was passed in 1799, and amended in 1994. Only two people have been indicted under the law, and neither one was convicted. Although accepting electoral help from a foreign government is not specifically mentioned, it is not much of a stretch to conclude that it COULD be.

Yes it is "treason" but no one "blinks"; I think it should be enough to kick the guy out, but not in this country! Shaking my old head that any country can be this stupid.

    http://www.msnbc.com/transcripts/rachel-maddow-show/2019-05-01

Hillary Clinton foreshadowed exactly that on the Rachel Maddow show May 1st, 2019. Clinton explains why Republicans and Trump should not want feign governments investigating Trump and handing over their findings. Here are Hillary Clinton exact words from the linked transcript

CLINTON: That`s right. And not only that, China, if you`re listening, why

don`t you get Trump`s tax returns. I`m sure our media would richly reward

    you.

Now according to the Mueller report, that is not conspiracy because it`s

done right out in the open.

So, if after this hypothetical Democratic candidate says this on your show,

within hours, all of a sudden, the IRS offices are bombarded with

incredibly sophisticated cyber tools looking for Trump`s tax returns, and

then extracts and them and then passes them to whatever the new WikiLeaks

happens to be and they start being unraveled and disclosed – nothing wrong

    with that.

I mean, if you`re going let Russia get away with what they did and are

still doing according to Christopher Wray, the current FBI director, who

said that last week, they`re in our election systems. We`re worried about

    2020, he said.

So, hey, let`s have a great power contest, and let`s get the Chinese in on

the side of somebody else. Just saying that shows how absurd the situation

    we find ourselves in.

The Dem's prepared an "bill' that foreigners are not allowed to mingle in our elections or any "other" meddling; certainly not if "asked" by us. Of course McConnell rejected such immediately. I guess the GOP loves traitors and dictators.

Sorry people this country is doomed, if it continuous this way. Certainly we have not learned from the 2016 election and just go on as usual; and may be we deserve Trump after all.

Apparently realizing that he had just stepped on a huge pile of dog crap, Trump reversed himself yesterday, and said that "of course", he would report foreign interference in a political campaign to U.S. law enforcement authorities. Since he has told more than 10,000 documented lies since taking office, it is difficult to know what he would actually do.

This is likely Trump's REAL opinion:

What would really be fantastic is if some country could hack into Trump's financials including tax documents and release them to media outlets like WAPO, CNN & NBC. I wouldn't mind it if that happened. Of course trump would call it fake news or fake reporting/journalism. I'd like to see trump squirm.

Arizona; Trump "reversed" such also again, by stating that he has "unlimited powers", so he can do whatever he wants.

In other words I can be an"dictator' an no one can touch me. So Dem's what's next?
