Schmidt, FWIW I didn't call you a liar. I said the message from the link was a lie. The link implies that Americans don't want an old or socialist person for president. There polling indicated some people don't want a socialist and some people don't want an old person for president. Then they shift their commentary to imply that all Americans oppose old and socialist. That is the lie I called out.

Remember when I said on Oct 28, 2016 that people were lying to pollsters because they didn't want to tell pollsters they supported Trump. I guarantee that is many times the situation now. People don't tell pollsters they would support or vote for a socialist.

Remember when Hillary Clinton received millions of more votes than Donald on Nov. 8, 2016, but wasn't elected because Bernie or busters in three states overruled the clear will of the American people?

    I sure as hell do.

Let's look at relative importance. One billion dollars was spent by the supposedly most brilliant minds in politics and they blatantly disregarded the most important states and got millions of votes more than they needed in some states and a few less than they needed in states that cost them the election. Well, that is to be expected from people that were clueless to what was going on. And that is to be expected from people who think so much of themselves that they were self isolated from the reality facing voters. And of course you can expect those elitist to blame anybody and everybody for the mistakes of their myopic view of reality. They were so full of themselves that catering to 55000 voted would be an insult to their perception. They were going to beat Trump so bad that to warn of losing a mere 55000 votes would be an insult to their imminent victory . As a matter of fact warning them against any short sighted short comings of their ill conceived from the start strategy was ridiculed. But they recover and defend their folly with a fallacious straw that broke the camel's back defense. Worse than worse they still are foundering grasping for anvils and boulders to stay afloat denying the obvious and floating pointless candidates to lose again .

Well, they will be saved by the people most needing their help. The poor and tired and sick and hungry will elect Bernie.

If we tell them we are going to help .

Chet, the problem is if you don't "educate" an country and stick to oddities like an "electoral college" as well spent "billionaires" money to elect someone, then what can Happygo wrong?

The reason Trump won was nobody cared that the working class was left behind. Trump seized upon that fact and appealed to the people that couldn't afford to live.

I quit. I'm not going to vote anymore, Biden turns my stomach, and the rest of the candidates are a field of idiots.

Wowsers. There's a whole lot to unpack here.

Biden turns your stomach? How so? He was, at least in my opinion, one hell of a VP. He was a loyal foot soldier for President Obama and did a lot of good during his eight years as Vice President. That doesn't mean he should be anointed the Democratic nominee, but he certainly is qualified to enter the race. He will either go far or wind up like Jeb Bush. Only time will tell.

I'm also a little confused about your "field of idiots" comment. There are certainly a lot of candidates who have jumped into the race to unseat Donald, but I can't think of a single one who is an idiot, let alone consider all of them idiots.

The current Democratic field consists of a former Vice President, Governors, Senators, Congresspeople, and Mayors. Some are well known names and others are long-shots, but every single one of them would be 100 million times better than Donald.

Never forget that not voting in 2020 is the same as a vote for a second Donald term. You would fall into the same camp as the Bernie or busters who handed Donald his first term.

2020 can't be about perfection. It's about one thing and one thing alone - removing Donald from office. If we can't stay focused on that singular goal then all of us will be sitting here on 1/20/2021 watching Donald deliver his 2nd Inaugural Address where he anoints himself King of America.

Any candidate can beat Trump if they avoid attacking him and concentrate on fulfilling his promises of insurance for everybody whether or not they can pay and good paying jobs. Attacking him will put them with the 16 GOPrs that failed. He got the votes he did in spite of himself. The Democratic Candidate simply has to pick up Trumps promises on healthcare and jobs and go forward.

Not voting is a vote for Trump.

Simply put, none of the 20 candidates are very well known to the populous, except for a few, and simply put, not one can overwhelmingly pull a majority of democratic voters to overcome trump voters, many democratic voters will probably stay home and not vote because they don't like any of the candidates, the electoral college is another unknown beast too.

I wrote that Biden turns my stomach, he does, not just because of the Anita Hill fake apology, but because he floated a cruel joke about permission to touch people, very distasteful, he still doesn't get it that his insensitivity of his comments hurts people, he doesn't go out of his way to heal with a genuine apology.

I don't really like any of the candidates, none of them.

So far, the D candidates are listed in this Wikipedia link en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2020_Democratic_P...

Do you even know what Bernie or busters is?? I remember you telling me that you knew Trump couldn't win because you researched it. I'll have to assume based on your research record you are just guessing . Research this and then you can really worry that your conservative principles are faltering. Bradley effect.

Don't you think that the miserable conditions that the working poor are suffering are enough to get people to vote for any Democratic regardless of likability?

We all know what assuming does, Chet...

    Sanders -> Trump voters
    WI: 51k
    MI: 47k
    PA: 116k

    Trump win margin…
    WI: 22k
    MI: 10k
    PA: 44k

WI: 9% of Sanders voters voted for Trump.

MI: 8% of Sanders voters voted for Trump.

PA: 16% of Sanders voters voted for Trump.

Would you like any further evidence or will this suffice? I encourage you to think twice before accusing me of not being able to back up my statements of fact.

I also encourage you to not put words in my mouth again. I never once said Trump couldn't win because "I researched it." Get over yourself, Chet. Your shit stinks just like everyone else's.
