Again. as I've said so many times: Make "laws" for Presidents! First of all "limit" laws, second "mandatory (by "law") providing the tax returns automatically each time well "before" the elections. Write those laws without any "loopholes". Is all of this so difficult? "Rules" don't work in this country as has been proven over and over again.

But yeah this stupid country seems to enjoy "chaos" and rather spent fortunes on lawyers to make them rich, then use their depleted weed "brains". As I wrote before just in case Trump "wins" again, then make sure that he can't become President again without providing all his tax returns of 10 years. SUCH SHOULD BE DONE NOW ALREADY because he's running again. Wake up Democrats!

The Supreme Court on Monday blocked the House Oversight committee from immediately reviewing President Trump’s financial records, after the president’s lawyers agreed to an expedited review of a lower-court ruling granting access. More ominously, the court’s action signals that, even as Congress considers impeaching Trump, the court will undertake a more complete consideration of the legal powers of Congress and state prosecutors to investigate the president while he is in office.

The Supreme Court's ruling, of course, would never have happened if Merrick Garland was on the court instead of the guy who likes beer.

Arizona, again this shows how messed up this country is; nothing can go straight forward, always there are "lawyers' involved who "play" the game to make themselves rich. Sorry, the Supreme court has become useless because it is now also "partisan" and "brainless". Just keep on interpreting 1800's laws till you are green in the face; sorry it does not work in 2019.

The Supreme Court announced YESTERDAY it will hear the cases concerning Trump’s finances after all. The justices were supposed to hear oral arguments in March on the question of whether the president and his financial advisors must obey subpoenas from the House of Representatives and a New York prosecutor. Trump is arguing that a president cannot be investigated for criminal activity while in office. The case got postponed by the pandemic, but it’s now back on the table.

    Here's an update:

On Tuesday, the U.S. Supreme Court is scheduled to hear one of the most consequential cases ever considered on executive privilege. Trump v. Vance concerns a subpoena issued by the Manhattan district attorney to President Trump’s accountants demanding the release of tax returns and other financial documents to a grand jury.

What is at stake is no less than the accountability of a president to the rule of law.

Mr. Trump’s legal position contradicts clear Supreme Court precedent. In U.S. v. Nixon, a unanimous Supreme Court ordered President Richard Nixon to turn over Oval Office tapes subpoenaed by the Watergate special prosecutor, Archibald Cox. In Clinton v. Jones, a unanimous court held that a sitting president can be forced to testify in response to a subpoena in civil litigation. Taken together, these cases make it clear that the president is not immune from investigation, whether criminal or civil, while he is in office.

So what if the Supreme Court follows precedent and says Trump must comply? And what if Trump defies the Supreme Court and says no, I'm still not going to comply? This is outrageous, and blah, blah, blah.

Congress can try impeach him again, but will any good Republican other than Mitt Romney support impeachment and conviction the second time around? No not this Senate.

Trump, of course, is relying on his cronies on the Supreme Court to change precedent and rule in his favor, and Justice Roberts being the swing vote will fall down for Trump as well: call it 5-4 again. But if it's 4-5 Trump will never release anything to anyone because the documents would be too incriminating. And the Trump enablers in the Senate will stand firmly behind him.

    My opinion...

Yes, and what is anybody going about this? Only "talk" and no action. The latest on "hiding" things; my wife found on the internet, is that the main investigator into the death of Epstein was found dead at his home. Also still nothing has been investigated about the representative of Deutsche Bank who also was found dead at his home. Coincidence?

I smell a rat. I bet once he's out, his (walk in closet) will be up to the ceiling full with skeletons. What are the FBI and CIA doing? Probably their leaders are now also Trump appointee's, who keep their mouth shut. Amen

Schmidt, you just admitted that "corruption "wins" in this country; How about with the "elections"?
