"we already have a massive shortage of qualified medical professionals and doesn't say much of anything about what he'd do about that pesky little problem."

So just let the people that can't afford health insurance suffer and die.

Even with a shortage there will still be healthcare available but wait times may be longer. Triage will assign life and death cases first and others will have to wait. Your choice is to limit healthcare to people who can afford it and let the others suffer more and die early. Just because the country got into a position of passing laws to make it easier to take advantage of the poor doesn't mean that besides taking there money they should suffer and die. That thousands should die each month to prevent long waiting lines. Doesn't sound right.

Is that the reason to blame thousands of uninsured people for dying every month for their own deaths because they didn't take advantage of Medicaid. Medicaid that is highly restrictive and difficult to qualify for.

Sorry; the subject was not "healthcare"; I guess you won't beat Trump with "healthcare". Looking at all the "treads" between Jared and Chet then I think this country can't be saved. Let alone healthcare; People please start at "a" and not at "z".

Thus start with why healthcare is an mess here; it is the "free loading" lobby of everyone involved. Drugs cost here are the highest in the world, why? Because of the "greed" and no control whatsoever on the cost, by an government who does not pin down the industry and its lobbyists. The same applies for doctors and hospitals; it is an total rip off. In other countries if companies, doctors, hospitals want to be part of the government health plan, then they have to commit to certain rules as well come clean with their pricing. Here it is free loading for all. The "lobby" system for just about everything including "elections" is the "noose" around this country's neck. Just getting rid of all the "drug" adds on TV etc. can already reduce the price of drugs. Yes you won't beat Trump with that; he does not care.

Those ads are totally deceptive. The live longer cancer ads show healthy looking people back in everyday life.

I explained how to beat Trump here and all through the election. I explained how some people liked, supported and were devoted to him for no reason other than an unexplained compelling attraction. It won him 2016 and can win him 2020. Is anybody paying attention??? No, they are falling back on traditional methods. In this case citing healthcare as the winner for the midterms. The midterms were a disgrace from the feeling earlier in the year when it was felt we would sweep both houses. The DNC still doesn't get it. The only way to beat Trump is to Trump him.

Dutch, 60 years of laws passed to let big money make more money quicker, cheaper and easier while the poor enjoyed 240% interest rates and environmental corrections involving consumer taxes that hurt the poor. Thousands of people dying every month because of lack of health insurance. And jaredsxtn a Democrat criticizes me for "my way or the highway". When I proposed in 2015 stagnant lower class wages for 50 years he challenged that. I came on this sight calling for support for Bernie and challenging big money being hoarded. I am totally surprised and pleased by the inroads and changes Bernie has brought about. I thought he could only last a few months. You hold the answer. You know how well mixed economies work when guided by socialist principles. So why aren't you supporting Bernie???

Chet I fully understand your thinking; that is not the problem. The main problem comes forth out of an system which protects and caters to the rich and the powerful. Most of your "tax money" ends up at places and people which you and I don't support; such as the pockets of Trump; his wasted trips costing by now at least 750 million. Furthermore enriching the drug makers and doctors and hospitals, because for them the sky is the limit in rip offs. No wonder Medicare etc. goes "broke eventually. But that is not the only problem here; Trump already "collected" over 30 million for his "re-election" ; the most the Dem's raked in is about 11 million. So everything here works only via "money" then I already know what the end result will be. Let's put some more "wall's" and military at the border; how many "billions" for that?; that will help the "sick" and "needy" people here for sure!!

Chet it shows how corrupt things are here and who are the "losers" and who are the "takers". This can only be solved by changing the total "system", so it works for the working people here and not for the upper echelon only. Also elections should be done without "money" (only an t.b.d. limited amount per candidate) thus no lobbyists or fancy "rally's". Let's start with that. Then "limit" what an President is allowed to do etc etc. Any system should start at "A" (structure) and end up at "Z". Right now we are working with an system which you can't fix with "bandaids" alone.

No. I'm getting tired of repeating myself, but I said Bernie's plan is not possible. It will never happen. Ever. The sooner you and other Bernie or busters accept that the better.

We haven't gotten much further than that because instead of engaging in a thoughtful discussion about some other ways to ensure everyone in this country receives quality health care regardless of their lot in life, you would rather attack me and anyone else who dares to disagree with you as cruel and vindictive right-wingers hellbent on inflicting maximum pain on poor people.
