    Dutch:

The border disaster is definitely Miller's fault, which the Washington Post pointed out yesterday. The only possible way to temper Miller's strong arm tactics is for Trump to utilize his son-in-law as a moderating force.

However, the article below DOES contain a phrase that should scare the shit out of you:

More recently, Trump told Miller during an Oval Office meeting that he was in charge of overseeing immigration and border issues, according to officials familiar with the meeting.

Miller's latest idea apparently is to charge asylum seekers a fee, which my congressman, Raul Grijalva, thought was a dumb idea because it is ILLEGAL.

If Trump actually gets to implement his hare-brained idea, the refugees have help from another source - the Pope.

Pope Francis just pledged $500,000 to migrants who are currently in Mexico. The money will come from the Peter's Pence fund, which is designed to help charitable cases.

    https://www.vaticannews.va/en/pope/news/2019-04/pope-francis-central-american-migrants-aid-peters-pence.html

The aid is intended to assist the more than 75,000 people who arrived in Mexico in 2018, in six migrant caravans. “All these people were stranded, unable to enter the United States, without a home or livelihood”, according to a statement from the Peter's Pence organization. The statement reads. “The Catholic Church hosts thousands of them in hotels within the dioceses or religious congregations, providing basic necessities, from housing to clothing”.

An Arizona man named Scott Warren potentially could face 20 years in prison for giving HUMANITARIAN AID to two migrants who turned up at a shelter near Ajo, Arizona. Closing arguments in the trial are likely this morning in Tucson. Once they conclude, the jury will begin deliberations on the case.

Warren is not the first victim of this madness.

In 2017, 4 women were arrested for leaving water for migrants in the desert. Ultimately, they were sentenced to 15 months of probation, and had to pay fines of $250 each.

Remember the phrase, "Give me your tired, your poor,
Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,
The wretched refuse of your teeming shore.
Send these, the homeless, tempest-tost to me,
I lift my lamp beside the golden door!"?

What the hell happened to that?

People, Americans have turned cold and hard. Some would give a bucket of sand to a person suffering from thirst and dehydration.

Some of this reminds me of an old movie I have with Kirk Douglas. Kirk has a friend living out in the desert who helped immigrants along giving them aid as needed. Authorities found out he was doing this, arrested and convicted him and imprisoned him for helping immigrants. It's a very touching story, I think. It shines a light on how cold and heartless people can be.

Don't forget such news travels all over the world; the US is already "painted" differently than just after WWII, when they dropped food (Marchall Plan) and other things to survive after the Germans left. I doubt if they will do the same ever again. The new "hobby" is "isolation" and America "first". Just wait till this country needs help; I hope that then other countries will close their eyes the same way. It follows the Trump doctrine: " Me, me, me, only"

The border disaster is first and foremost the fault of American economic policy in general and financial institutions in particular. Secondly, it is not because we "cannot control our borders" but rather that we can no longer wield power over the western hemisphere. It is this loss of power put forth for internal consumption as open borders but actually feared as loss of face and power by the elites that is causing the problem as well.

President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador of Mexico (AMLO) sent a lengthy letter to Trump on May 30 that is worth reading. It's very obvious which president is "the adult in the room".

Yes excellent letter; however the "child" won't understand it and keeps crying for his "lolly". His "obsession" with "tariffs" now has replaced his "obsession" with the "wall". This morning he had again an "tweet" storm and blamed the "fed" for everything as well that the Dem's "colluded" with the big companies. etc.

Sorry people this guy should immediately put in an straight jacket and carted of to the crazy house. Amen

By the way where is everyone? Too lazy to write? Or on "vacation"? Or sick of Trump? Or shooting "something"? Or got drunk because of Trumps "tweets"?Wink

"The adult in the room" can almost be taken 100% literately when referring to Trump. The Adults leader around the world are quickly figuring out trump, which is stand their ground and\or appease him without giving him anything. In other words, feed his ego with faint praise ("you are as fit as a 30yr old pro athlete", "you're the smartest man in the world"), but give him nothing in writing.

World leaders are figuring out his saber rattling with economic threats make Trump the boy who cried wolf. He yells "tariffs, tariffs, tariffs", they call his bluff, and and he backs down by claiming victory that they have conceded to all his demands when in fact they conceded nothing.

On MSNBC they called Trump equivalent to a real life firebug arsonist; addicted to starting fires, then becomes a hero for putting out the fire.

In FL. De Santis made an new law, forbidding all "sanctuary cities" in Florida. Wow, as predicted he crawls as deep as you can up Trumps fat ass. So the Florida "fruit" companies can forget to have their produce plucked, just let it rot, may be you get subsidy via Trump. Please bring the barfbucket again; it is already overflowing.

The best possible way to reduce the stream of refugees coming from Central America is to provide financial and organizational assistance so that the countries are safer and economically stronger. Naturally, Trump just did the complete opposite.

Although discussions about cutting aid to Central America started back in March, it finally became official this morning.

As I have said countless times, just when you think that Trump can't get any dumber, he does .......

The headline in today's Washington Post this morning was this:

"Trump vows mass arrests starting next week". In tweets (of course) President (gag) Trump appeared to reference a plan to round up thousands of migrant parents and children in a blitz operation across major U.S. cities.

If this sounds familiar, consider this:

The expulsions were carried out so abruptly that the ethnic Germans resettled from Eastern Galicia, Volhynia and Romanian Bukovina were taking over Polish homes with half-eaten meals on tables and unmade beds where small children had been sleeping at the time of expulsions. Members of Hitler Youth and the League of German Girls were assigned the task of overseeing evictions to ensure that the Poles left behind most of their belongings for the use of the settlers.

This above is a paragraph taken from an article titled " Nazi crimes against the Polish nation".

So far, the youngest child separated from his parents at the United States border is 4 months old.
