Anyone familiar with Joe Biden's legislative history would find Biden's run for President is as absurd and ridiculous as Trumps since there is no doubt this guy is just another Robber Baron Stooge for the Banksters, Wall Street, loan shark credit card corporations , he was a rabid supp0rter of that war on drugs that targeted minorities and put millions of citizens in jail for long terms for minor drug offenses and in the process destroying their lives, Biden is also very fond of Big Pharma.

Biden is also famous for his rotten, unjust treatment of Anita Hill and preventing every effort to help students deeply in debt.

I predict that the Orwellian World of liars will give both Trump and Biden obsessive coverage while ignoring progressive candidates like Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren and the question is: Will the American people once again fall for this Orwellian scam.

Yeah, a bit overdone. I believe that he's not the guy/gal we need to fight Trump. So Dem's wake up and get an real "fighter" who dares to call Trump what he is. Adam Schiff is at least someone with decency and who dares to say the truth. I wonder about Biden; I seldom have seen him do some real action. Religious people like him aren't always good "analysts" of facts or human behavior and often live in another fantasy world.

Looking at all the candidates, I wonder who can "tackle" Trump and his "corrupt" cronies.

Dutch, You can quit looking for that special candidate. It seems the USA has too much respect for "The Life Styles of the Rich and Famous" for anybody to qualify to run that will bring real opportunity back into the USA economy.

Joe Biden birthday, November 20, 1942.

Bernie Sanders birthday, September 8, 1941.

Other than being candidates for senior living centers, both have baggage. If we're going to apply purity tests to all candidates' lives going all the way back to their youth, then we can throw them all out. The problem with Democrats is that they look for every candidate's faults rather than their positives.

Donald Trump supporters don't give a shit what kind of crook, adulterer and pussy grabber he was in the past. They support him because he's going to make America great again. He's promised to make coal king again. He's promised to open the rusty factories again in the rust belt states, he's promised the best health care ever, and the biggest and best military the world has ever seen. He's going back to the moon and to Mars. He's defeated ISIS. He's made Israel proud. He saved us from a nuclear war. He's making love with Kim Jung Un instead of war. He's making China buy American. He is doing God's work. And blah, blah, blah...

He says: "Believe me!" And yes his supporters do. If the election were held today, Trump would win.

Yes Schmidt; you see it right; he's an super lying "con-man" who sells himself as Jesus. But yeah the "truth" will eventually catch up with him. But then it will be too late for this country to become "normal" again.

I've predicted this on this site years ago that the "system" here is totally corrupted, but Jared and others claimed I was nuts, because the Constitution would save us. Instead the "outdated/manipulated Constitution is the noose around our necks right now. Examples enough.

It does not work with two parties; especially if one party promises forever "loyalty" to their "mob leader". Crazy things like what Barr/Mueller did, related to an report paid from our tax dollars, means such report is the "property" of the people and should not be used as an "property" of Barr. Mueller should have known what Barr would do, so he's an accomplish and guilty as hell. By doing this, then I guess the "report" is also not what it should be, as clearly was stated by Adam Schiff. Nothing was finished; no interviews with the real culprits at all; only "sideline culprits" were covered, let alone Trumps "tax returns and "money laundering" not touched at all. Sorry Mueller as an Republican has now shown his real "colors". Both him and Barr are "traitors". The "list" of outstanding "matters" will take forever in other "courts; Mueller knew that as well.

Indeed if we continue this way, then Trump certainly will win in 2020.

Several years ago This American Life did a story about how conservative people are far more likely to forgive and forget than liberals. For liberal minded people, once a racist, forever a racist, Or if accused of sexual misconduct, always a sexual abuser. Conservative people are far more likely to forgive a person for having said\done racist acts in the past if they appear to have moved past it, or at least have much better control over. For radical liberal minded people, a single racist slur or idea going back forever, means that a person is on a private blacklist of untouchables that can never be redeemed.

As far as swing voters in 2020, I believe trump has lost their vote already. Many swing voters did not like HC, so they voted for Trump as a protest vote thinking HC was going to win anyway. Or, those swing voters did not for president. I find it hard to believe that those same swing voters would vote for Trump given he has exposed himself as a con man who only panders the wacko right because they would follow him to any extreme because he convinces them that extreme actions are required for everything he does, and convinces them everything he does is what normal people do. He makes them feel good about having their extreme beliefs. He makes racist people feel good about being racist, same with homophobic people, etc, etc. If someone is on the fringe right, DT is the second coming of JC. Despite all the teachings of Christ, they believe Christ on earth would be doing exactly what DT has already done. They believe JC was a racist and homophobic, and God is White, who sends minority to the back of line based on the color of their skin while alive on earth.... Yeah, it all makes perfect sense in how they perceive reality.

If we want to think about the good side, the republicans are now openly stuck with the far right wackos controlling the party, once DT is gone in 2020, it will be far far more difficult for the Republican party to reverse themselves and reject all those fringe right people who are proud of being extreme on all policies. Trump panders to them so they remain loyal to HIM, not loyal to the party; once there is no one at top the willing to defend them and promote wacko policies, they will be enraged at the Republican Leadership for not doing all the extreme crap DT is doing right now. The day of reckoning is coming for the republican party once Trump is out of power, and that day will come, if for no other reason, Trump can't live for ever, even if the thinks he will remain president forever.

wwjd -- Yes there are an assortment of cognitive biases that could be ascribed to Trump supporters. Cosmopolitan magazine listed four in addition to yours:

4 Reasons Trump Supporters Remain Blind to His Flaws

Confirmation bias, or selective attention applies to some Trumpians as they seek out only information that already conforms to their beliefs and assumptions while ignoring evidence that challenges their points of view. Hence they watch Fox News instead of MSNBC.

The back fire effect is evident when Trump supporters become enraged at liberal criticism of their man no matter how true. The more liberals criticize him, the more they dig in their heals.

Splitting people into either black or white camps. Kind of like Bush's "either with us or with the enemy". No nuances allowed...too complicated for the mind. The authoritarian Trump and his simple solutions are so much easier to accept than elitists ideas couched in big words.

Negativity bias suits Trump supporters well. He uses fear and exaggerated claims to shift our minds to where he can be in control. Unhappy and fearful people are more malleable than happy people. It's why Trump supporters always seem so angry.

Okay those are just a few, but Trump seems to be able to exploit minds of conservatives much better than those of liberals. It's partially DNA, but also the environment of him engaging in repetition, repetition that wears a person down. How many times has he called the Mueller investigation a witch hunt and hoax?

Trump knows how to engage in mind control...a master con artist.

Both Trump and Biden are in Iowa this week. Biden is on the east side of the state, and Trump is on the west. True to form, Trump has been attacking Biden because he feels he is his strongest opponent so far.

Biden masterfully handled a heckler by reminding the crowd that "this isn't a Trump rally - let him go".

I guess people forget that there is at least an full year to go before the "dust" has settled. A lot can happen until then.

So I'm not "selecting" anyone yet.

We've all forgotten about the debate between Biden and Paul Ryan in 2012, but you can watch it again in the link below:

    http://tohell-andback.blogspot.com/2012/10/thats-bunch-of-malarkey.html

"Sleepy Joe" may be 76 years old, but I still think he is capable of making Trump look like an idiot in a debate. Admittedly, any of us could so the same, but Biden's a lot better known to the general public than we are.

Just for fun, pull up a Bing picture of Paul Ryan, and compare it to a Bing picture of Bela Lugosi, and you'll notice that Paul Ryan would make a very good vampire.

Yes it is "sleepy Joe", sorry he still lives in the "50's" and does not know what the "mob" is all about. Sure you can attack Trump on all fronts, but he will boast an "good" economy as well low unemployment rates. The "dumb" masses in this country will find this sufficient to re-elect him. Other things don't matter to them. How can Biden and others fight this?

Imo, it is a done deal. Not only will Trump win the electoral college, he will win the popular vote. That is actually more critical as it will allow the RW to unleash its fury against the “Socialist, Communist” elites.

Never doubt that the Democratic Party will miss an opportunity to miss an opportunity. And really never doubt bird’s theorem: “We The People” are stupid.

Is this man okay? Gaffe after gaffe, has he lost his mind? I don't think he is well. He is red meat for conservatives.

Biden's poll numbers are dropping. That's not unexpected as people learn about the other candidates. While I would not normally be bothered by his gaffes (misspeaks) it would seem the media is watching his every word for anything that might be construed as due to cognitive aging, which studies indicate becomes more significant after age 70. I can attest to that...I'm 72.

Biden is 76 and would be 78 when he takes office...82 for a second term. Sanders is 77. Trump is 73 and misspeaks all the time. I too misspeak more often now, and really have difficulty remembering names.

I really like Joe, but I have anxiety every time he opens his mouth. I sure hope that other moderate candidates stay in the race even if they do not make the debate. They need to be ready to step in when Biden makes a really big gaffe.

    Hang in there Steve Bullock.
