That lack of criticism from people in similar positions would seem to indicate intrusion into business as usual.

If he perceives himself cornered, my best guess is that his plan is to resign and pardon's in advance his entire inner circle as he flies to Mara-largo. He'll fain having a heart attack as the reason for resigning, or whatever, declare victory, and go build Trump towers in Moscow and North Korea.

....leaving us with Mike Pence, who will save us from homosexuality.

As they say on the Stephanie Miller show: Pence is in it up to his albino eyebrows.

I am not sure what that means, but Pence has several homosexual type mannerism, sometimes referred to as "Feminine". If he were a Democrat, the right wing would be roasting him constantly for his lack of being a "Man's man". He clearly has a submissive personality.

USA Today, May 13, 2020: Ex-Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort released from prison amid coronavirus pandemic

"Paul Manafort has been released from prison and is now in home confinement as the coronavirus pandemic spreads in the federal corrections system. Todd Blanche, one of Manafort's attorneys, said the 71-year-old was released Wednesday morning. Manafort is serving a combined sentence of 7½ years in prison from two criminal cases that resulted from the special counsel investigation on Russia's election meddling in 2016. "

This follows a request by Manafort to be released to serve his sentence from home during the coronavirus citing his age and health conditions that put him at "high risk" of a COVID-19 infection. This is after Attorney General Barr announced a plan to expedite the release of vulnerable prisoners to home confinement as infections and fatalities mounted.

“Given the speed with which this disease has spread through the general public, it is clear that time is of the essence,” Barr said then. However, "the pandemic has not reached the low-security prison in Loretto, Pennsylvania, where Manafort was held. His attorneys said it's only a matter of time before the infection spreads in the facility."

So Manafort has served less than a year of his sentence behind bars. How convenient. Does he have some kind of "most favored" status?

It will be interesting to see the list of criminals. Good chance there will be a large number of white collar criminals and people who have money who get to their sentence at home with no spending restrictions. BTW, Trump does not believe there is such a thing as White Collar crimes, there is just business.

"If someone can steal your money, its your fault for letting them do."

    And

"The only thing wrong with committing white collar crimes is getting convicted, and the smart ones never get convicted"

[Parole Violation hearing for Paul Manifort]

Manifort's Attorney: Your Honor, my client has not violated the terms of his parole. When Mr Manifort was arrested he was playing golf at Mar-a-largo; the President's personal grant resort. The terms of his parole are that he is not the leave his personal residences without the court's permission. My client now lives at Mara-largo full time, and the golf course is part of resort's property, therefore is it not a parole violation to be playing golf because he never left the property.

This country is the laughing stock of the world right now; actually it did already hit the iceberg; now everyone is scrambling to get an life vest; but not for the women or children but only for the "white superior race". The hell with "norms" ,"decency" let alone "honesty" or put proper laws in place. Is n't time to get "proper" "educated" world wise leaders in place?

"Chaos" is the word now; don't forget that is Trump's hobby. Let the "mafia" reign.

Manafort is only an "deviation" effort of the "real" issues in this country now; it is purely for Trump to "try" to get proof that he did nothing "wrong" via these types like Manafort.

Yes this has become an "lawless" country; the laws here are only applied to the "regular" folks and the poor people. The "top" makes sure that they can"bribe" their way out of any situation. Our fantastic 'leader" is an champion in that. As long as the Dem's tolerate such as with the "impeachment debacle" then they are as bad by doing nothing at all.

Sorry to say this can't end well. The corruption and bribery will hit its high point around November.

Thus don't be surprised if Trump wins again, regardless if Biden gets 3 million more votes, just like happened with Hillary.

I guess the Dem's seem to love the "electoral college" and its "corrupt" ways, otherwise they would have got rid of it years and years ago. Amen

The rest of the world looks in amazement at this country; they see this as an real la la land.

Paul Manafort was released from prison because of the coronavirus - but Republicans think it is perfectly OK to send all our kids back to school.
