President Donald Trump has posthumously pardoned boxer Jack Johnson for violating the Mann Act; that is, driving his white girlfriend across state lines. Trump "signed into law the bipartisan Allow States and Victims to Fight Online Sex Trafficking (FOSTA), which websites accountable for any sex trafficking related content posted by users."

The Huffingtong Post op-ed does bring up a serious question about the Myth of Human Trafficking. Laws like the Mann Act and Stop Enabling Sex Traffickers Act (SESTA) are policing prostitutes, women of color and forcing to them to go further underground. FOSTA-SESTA shut down Backpage, a website which sex workers say helped them by being on the look-out for potentially violent customers. Is it time for the liberal community to re-think the term human trafficking?
