If you are wondering how 73 million people could be dumb enough to vote for Trump AGAIN, part of the answer lies in Alabama.
Alabama voters demonstrated higher enthusiasm for the presidential election in 2020 than four years ago and, by extension, their backing of President Trump.
And that’s even as thousands of Alabama voters went to the polls or submitted an absentee ballot and chose not to vote in the presidential race.
So as the count continues nationwide to determine who won the presidency, there is no ambiguity in Alabama. The 62.34 percent of the vote that Trump received in the state was the eighth highest in the country. And the eight states who supported Trump with a higher percentage of the vote were all smaller than Alabama.
That means the 1.424 million votes Trump received in Alabama were more than each of those eight states with higher percentages.
As you may suspect, Alabama is not high on the list of "most educated" states. The state is not the worst, but it's just above Kentucky, New Mexico, Louisiana, Mississippi, and Texas, all of which are "red" states.
Another part of the answer is that Alabama is THE most religious state in the country, slightly ahead of Mississippi, which is a close second.
Alabama is also one of the 10 most obese states in the country.
In the 1978 film, "Animal House", Dean Wormer tells John Belushi's character that "fat, drunk and stupid" is no way to go through life".
To it's credit, Alabama is low on the list of the "drunkest" states, but it comes pretty high on the "fat and stupid " lists - and that is why they still like Trump.
