No one here has said where she stands on the issues. Well Senator Klobuchar is a centrist Democrat: She supports making the Affordable Care Act stronger and has not hopped on the BernieCare (aka Medicare for all -- free everything for all) bandwagon.
She has not embraced Sen. Sanders free college for everyone. Rather she has called for a federal-state partnership that pays for two tuition-free years of school for students in community, technical or tribal college programs. In her Education website she has a long impressive list of education initiatives that she has sponsored or supported as a Minnesota Senator.
Ms. Klobuchar has not joined Rep Ocasio-Cortez's movement to abolish the Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency (aka ICE). "We are always going to need immigration enforcement," Klobuchar said on ABC's "This Week." "I think what has to change are the policies, and the people that are making these policies are making horrendous decisions like separating kids from their parents."
Her staff member says she supports the New Green Deal, but Klobuchar did not mention it in her speech.
She sounds more like a Hillary Clinton on the issues than a Bernie Sanders. I'll dig more.
