AOC has proposed an increased tax rate on I would assume is taxable income over 10 million dollars. That could be the first case of tax changes that actually provided a direction to prosperity. Why is there not a thunderous roar of support for this girl that could lead the world to peace? How many elected Congress people earn over $10,000,000/year?

Here we go again. Most people have no idea who the hell "AOC" is. If you are talking about Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez then we already have a thread on her. Plus you also have started a thread called "Cortez Marginal Tax Rate". And once you start these spurious threads you take the discussion all over the place. Undisciplined. I'll not comment further.

"you take the discussion all over the place"

This is not a historical fact debating society. Going all over the place is the natural progression in the face of a dynamic situation involving almost taboo social concepts and names. AOC is how Cortez identifies herself on Twitter. As well as most MSM. Like FDR , LBJ, JFK . A discussion forum does not need an authoritarian monitor to stifle opposing view points. Be free. AOC is poised to be one of the most influential women in politics and history. She is directly opposed to right wing trickle down tax propaganda. She is the first true people's representative in the Democratic Party in 70 years and only the second people's representative in contemporary times. AOC is going to be the biggest news in social politics in our lifetime. Withholding your views and insight is not in the spirit of a discussion forum.

We have two fuckin threads on Rep Ocasio-Cortez. Why do we need a 3rd on the same subject manner? And no, Rep. Ocasio-Cortez is not as well known as JFK or LBJ that you can start using her initials in a header. It's just laziness on your part...the same as calling her "Cortez" in your other thread.

And if you are talking about Rep Ocasio-Cortez, stick to the topic and don't bring up unrelated stuff.

    "Undisciplined. I'll not comment further."

"Here we go again." And here we go again again. I never said AOC is as well known as JFK & LBJ . You implied that in order to criticise it. She idenifies on Twitter and most of MSM identifies her by AOC. And it was not laziness on my part to use AOC. I did it to show your dramatic trending when you said "I'll not comment further." Then you promptly comment.

Times are changing and hopefully the status quo won't interfere. Too many people suffer more and die earlier because of our health care system .

Look all I'm asking is that you show some discipline on this website. You show a disregard or laziness in creating new threads or adding to existing threads that are off-topic most of the time. I've been one of the longest members (guessing 10 years) on this website, along with Jared and Carlitos, and we've had some excellent on-topic discussions on just about every subject under the sun. I sometimes go back to those threads to reread what we discussed...and refresh my memory. I absolutely hate it to find your off-topic spurious posts interjected into these threads. It's like you have a thought and just throw it out on the first available thread or you make a new thread not checking to see if we have an existing thread on the topic. It is laziness on your part.

Not only that, but in your hurry to write your post, many times they don't make sense. I have to read them and reread them to guess what point you are making. And then if I guess wrong you admonish me.

I hope you never get a job in a library because you would return all books to the first available shelf space rather than take the time to see where they might be cataloged.

Your tactics lack discipline but are also disrespectful to the fellow members on this website who have considerably more discipline and are better writers in articulating a point than you. Just take some time and reread your posts to see if they make sense and are on-topic. Is that too much to ask?

Schmidt, I believe you have lost your objectivity and enthusiasm for what the Democratic Party might possibly and should return to under the influence of Democratic Socialists like Bernie Sanders and AOC (Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez). Millions upon millions of people here and billions internationally suffer the results of poverty. They don't earn enough money to eat healthily or to get health care and buy meducine. Of course you don't understand what I say because you don't think like me. Early in the campaign implored you to use your history and connections in the Democratic Party to get my message to Hillary that attacking Trump will only make him more formidable and gain him more support. Of course you approach what I say with a negative attitude because you are a conservative democrat who believes the Democratic Party has served the country well. Unlike Bernie Sanders AOC (Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez) is a Democrat. That makes her even more important.

Point of order and back to the topic:

"Why is there not a thunderous roar of support for this girl that could lead the world to peace?"

Did you not read what I wrote in the other thread on Rep Ocasio-Cortez titled Rep Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez's populist appeal?

You just made my case that you are undisciplined, writing whatever comes to your mind on any thread off-topic. I have the utmost respect for Rep Ocasio-Cortez and have written as such. In that same thread you wrote a single post: "She is a celebrity but she is off the mark. She probably views big business and big money as an enemy rather than a resource. "

I don't know what you insinuated by that post, but that is all you had to say about her -- and then your following four posts on the thread were all off-topic and had nothing to do with Rep. Ocasio-Cortez.

That's what I am calling you out about. You do not own this website to do whatever you want. Have some fuckin' discipline.

AOC Bing search for me garnered computer related items like monitors, etc...

I had to do a search because I'd never heard of AOC. We've all heard of ATT or AT&T, ADP, blah, blah, blah.

Schmidt, You started this thread with a valid question about a minimal response to the most talked about Democrat and you immediately "go off topjc". You obviously consider it beneath you to use the forums established procedure to express concern. I'll guarantee you two things. First: A significant number of threads contain off topic replies.

Second: The only person that goes off topic that you criticize is me.

Your first reply to this thread was off topic and you could have ended it with your promise to "not comment further". But you continued to comment. So I have to extend to you the privilege of violating continuity and going back on your word because I know the terrible pressure that a registered Democatic that is a registered Democratic Socialist is putting on you. Demicratic Socialists are the future of the Democratic Party and this country.

I know it means absolutely nothing to you that I never said AOC was a well known initialism for Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. I know you just had to take a shot. And is there some benefit in not using Google the #1 rated search engine ???

I would have needed a search if not for Schmidt advising above.

Fox news is obsessed with her as well. Massive attention to the newest female threat to humanity. They're going to treat her like HRC and try to bring her down. Sad that said to be strong men tremble when a woman enters the equation.

TJ, That is the point I am making with this thread. I find it amazing the low level of involvement and excitement expressed about Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. She is touching on the root problems of all society and she is being relegated to the position of news of age and gender. The major disqualifier for Bernie was not being a Democrat.

AOC (Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez) is the complete package and support should be cascading into her camp.

On my machine there is. I am protecting my MS device by not downloading anything that has to do with Chrome or Google or any of it's entities, because the last time a virus infected my device, it was right after I downloaded Google Chrome, and it cost me over $100 to get it corrected. The virus implanted wanted me to call a number and submit to a hefty payment (ransom) to get all my OS and files back. Never again, I learned my lesson.

Thanks. I have been using chrome for some time and now and now everything i look at is loaded with advertisements including large picture ads in the first page. I had that ransomware and blue screen virus. I was able to get rid of them with MalwareBytes.
